I saw Race Rock at the regional and all the great pictures Paul took depict what a great piece it is BUT surprise it has a much bigger footprint than you'd expect!

More HL for your money, Bob! I like the bigger foot prints. The only thing people will have to be careful of is the weight of the new pieces. Glass shelves can only support so much weight. I wouldn't want to be the first to find out the hard way exactly how much weight it takes before the shelf collapses.

My Race Rock should be here tomorrow!

Bob,

After seeing it in person at the Regional I was almost sorry I had donated it back for to the LI Chapter.

It's a great looking piece and is larger than I thought also.

I'm really pleased that the new pieces are bigger in general appearence. I recall when I purchased New Canal and thought about why did they make it so small compared to the other HLs?

The larger pieces are more impressive. It makes you feel you have gotten more HL for your money.

At a time when the economy is down and the collectible industry is suffering re less expendible cash around, Harbour Lights has risen to the top in my opinion. They continue to excite their collectors with a super product which makes the collector smile, which in turn makes the folks at Harbour Lights smile. I guess that's the name of the game.

Race Rock arrived yesterday via UPS. I opened it this morning.

Two words came to mind that describe this piece:

Magnificient!

Fabulous!

This new HL is a real keeper! Don't miss out on it.

Got my raffle Race Rock for the Ronne's yesterday and couldn't resist taking a peak.
Found something new that I haven't seen on a HL or was mentioned about this piece. A large piece of driftwood(more like the large branch or trunk of a tree) washed up on the rocks on the opposite side of the broken barrels on the rocks. This is another example of the treacherous water around this lighthouse.
The many little extras and details make this a WOW!
Randy, it will be in mail to you tomorrow if I can put it down! lol

FINALLY!!!

Race Rock finally arrived today and I rushed right over and picked it up. After all I've been reading about it in the forums, I can honestly say that its all of what you said and more. A very beautiful addition to anyone's collection.

BobM, I am glad you continued to lobby for this one.

Thanks Harbour LIghts. Worth the wait!

Bought Race Rock last night. Absolutely love it! Compared it to photoes I had from a Long Island lighthouse cruise 2 years ago and the attention to detail is incredible. But no bird droppings on the roof...

The Race Rock sculpture has everthing but the birds droppings. The actual Race Rock has a lot of "white" (and it isn't snow) on the roof.

Race Rock is a great HL and will sell out and retire within a year (prediction). It is a very welcome addition to my, and many other's, collection.

Thanks Harbour Lights for another great release. Add me to the list of those that like the large footprint.

I haven't had the pleasure of seeing this piece yet! For some reason, it hasn't shown up here yet! Maybe someone's getting to them first!

I've started this collection too rapidly. My Race Rock arrived 4-26. I just placed it on my NY shelf (My favorite state.). I was looking at the current catalog when I recalled it - and there it is!

Wow... what a bargain - and the detail!

Broken barrel, no less. I will take each one down and study them more carefully.

The Race rock is great.
There is a lot of lighthouse for the money.
Great price and a lot of detail.
Every time I look at it, I find myself quoting the old New York commercial.
"I LOVE NEWYORK"
I will give this one a WOW.
This is the best one so far.

Daniel
