I was just at a local dealer to check out the Rondout Lighthouse and discovered that the date on the tower was 1919.

It should be 1913.

Hmmm, this sounds like another discussion going on in another thread.....

Seems that HL should just send you the prototype model first Mike on the Hudson River Lights! Local knowledge and all should certainly be taken advantage when available, on any model.

Sounds like this piece is destined for a variation. Now, how many will be sold before the change is made, if at all?

Rumor has it the next order of Roundout will have the correct date!!!

Although I'm not sure we have as many Speculator Collectors these days- once burned, twice shy as they say.

Mike reported earlier on Lighthousing.net that he had heard from HL and they were planning on fixing it with their next order.

Only time will truly tell. I know it's been mentioned before, but anybody have any idea how many they order at a time of an item? This one has an edition of 5500.

I got am email the other day from Harbour Lights saying that the error in the date will be corrected.

The first batch has been running around 3,000... that may be less now since the total run on this lighthouse is only 5500! If that is the amount it would make fewer of the correct date, but they might have caught it before they completed the first batch..

When I called HL today on another matter I asked if I had my dealer order a piece for me now would it be one with the corrected date. I spoke with Shelly who put me on hold to check. When she came back she said she was told that the date was not going to be changed......?

That is really to bad if it is true. Why bother to continue production when you know it is incorrect? But they did tell me it would be corrected when I contacted them back in February.
