Still no Legacy in Northern California. It's like instate long distance calls are more expensive than interstate calls. The Redwood Curtain slows mail down I guess. Mo used to make fun of me and send a special copy. The regular one would come about three weeks later. Oh well. It'll get here sooner or later.

The legacy made it to Holland today. I guess it really hasn't been that long since it was mailed. But it just seems to take forever when you really want something to arrive in your mailbox.

Hal,

It seems that your Postman takes that "Gloom of Night" part very seriously.

Still nothing in Indy. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure when the last time I actually got one was.

Hey Pierhead - you SURE your membership is up-to-date?

Better give the Society a call at 800-365-1219 and they'll let you know.

Oops...

There's a photo on the back page of the issue with the Three Sisters of Nauset (Mass.) in the background.

The caption is labeled "Burrows Island, Washington."

Well unless my three year membership that I renewed last July is already over, I believe I'm up to date. I moved about four months ago, but I gave them my change of address. I guess maybe I will have to give them a call.

Still none in Northern California. But I anticipate it's arrival before Christmas.

I wonder if yours was lost in the mail, Rich. The west coast always gets theirs before the east coast.

Anyone else that hasn't gotten their Legacy copy yet? I called Society, and they said it had been sent out. Maybe the "blizzardous" conditions here in Indy are holding up delivery.

Still nothing here in Murphy NC (as usual).

I still don't understand why HL can't spend a few extra cents/member/year and mail them first class rather than behind all other junk mail. I'd pay the difference.

Our legacy arrived in CT last week. Bill, you are correct that the caption doesn't match the picture on the back cover. Harbour Lights caught the error also but the Legacy was already at the printers. They did contact the couple pictured with Nancy to let them know about the error and to say they would make the correction in the next Legacy.

The couple are really Fred Thumm (NELL Preservation Co-Chair) and Christine Thumm (NELL Membership Chair) with Nancy in front of Three Sisters of Nauset lights last year when Nancy spent the weekend with NELL on Cape Cod.

Still hasn't arrived in Northern California, but then, neither has Christmas 2002.

From John's original post dated 2/9: "Depending on your distance from San Diego, you should be receiving the latest Lighthouse Legacy anywhere from a few days to several weeks from now."

Mark your calendar as 3/12/2002!

George, have you called HL? You may be one of the ones who droped off their list as others have discussed.

Good catch on that photo error Bill! I wanted to take that same picture of the Three Sisters this summer, but they had scaffolding up to paint the houses. I guess I'll have to catch them next year...
