I received a phone call from my dealer in Oregon notifying me that the Pharos will be on its way to my house this Friday. Finally, the first release of 2003 will be on its way! Bob

Lighthouse Depot called and told me that they received a few pieces to mail out to their pre-order customers. They have none to put out on display for sale to walk ins

That's great to hear! I was just wondering (to myself) today what would come first: the next Legacy, or the Pharos piece.

I picked up mine today from my dealer. I originally wasn't going to buy this one but after seeing it, I had to have it. It's really got some great detail.

Picked up the Pharos today and was very impressed with the detail on the piece. Started checking it out closely and was fascinated by the reflector on the "lantern room" that rotated. This is a piece that you need to take a magnifying glass to to enjoy the detail up close. Very nice way to start out the year.

received mine tonight. I was surprised that the numbering on the bottom seemed to be in ink. It's a big piece, about 10 x 6 and has some weight to it. I agree that it will take many times looking at it to see everything that's there

God may have created man before woman, but there is always a rough draft before the masterpiece.

Basil and I picked up Pharos of Alexandria yesterday and it took Basil over an hour to pick out which one he wanted. (Bob S. you know Basil.) Next time we pick up our Harbour Lights Lighthouse I will pack a lunch! But I am happy that he picked one! Geri

My local dealer showed me that huge new LE today - wow! Sadly, I had just found a 225 Hillsboro Inlet that had hid away in their warehouse... I 'needed' it worse. That new blinking Minot's Ledge keeps calling me... the huge new nite lights don't, however. At $88, the Pharo's will have to wait a bit... really big, too. I have to stay away from the dealer...
Now that I am home with this 225 - where will I put it? It is too tall for my shelves - a similar problem would exist with that Pharo's!
John
PS I went back to see that Pharo's... came close to going home with it despite it's large size. It has such detail - yet it is anything but 'busy'. It is beautiful - but so large - where do you put it??

Get taller shelves, Stainz! This isn't the first tall piece, and won't be the last. The minimum space between shelves in my curios is approximately twelve inches. The top shelf has around sixteen inches of space between the shelf and the top of the curio. The shelves in my entertainment center have even more room. Buy the Pharos, and if you can't find space for it, send it to me (for free) and I'll take pictures of it in my curio and send you the picutres (for free). Then when you find a place to display it, I'll send it back to you (shipping & handling to be determined by zip code). (LOL) Bob

I believe that this piece is fairly light-weight for it's size. Perhaps this was done so that it could be a "top shelf" lighthouse if need be?
