Just received my Legacy and the Christmas Issue coupon. Is there a picture of the model? I normally do not commit until I at least see a picture. We have until June 30, 1999 to respond. Can anyone help me see how it will look?

The West Quoddy Head Christmas 1999 lighthouse will be shown at Rosemont. Pictures will be available on www.HarbourLights.com after the show as with other Rosemont introductions.

Still that gives you a couple of days to get your reservation in by June 30.

You can call your reservation in now to Harbour Lights at 800-365-1219. Guess you could cancel it if you are disappointed with how it comes out, but I doubt you will be disappointed.

This should be a spectacular piece, given what the real lighthouse looks like and the winter setting.

Wait a minute...is it West Quoddy or East Quoddy? Up 'til now, all I've heard mentioned is East Quoddy.

HI Moby,

I was wondering what the Christmas piece looked like as well. But, I kinda, sorta, somehow already knew that it would be another great HL piece. So, my mind raced ahead for ways to finance the purchase. You know how it is, you see are these new pieces and decide you must have them all and the cost of all of them kinda comes up and smacks you in the pocketbook. But this HL Wacko will go as far as to work summer school to have the funds.

By the By--What is the lighthouse on the cover of the Legacy? I really did try to find the name inside the issue but I didn't spy it anywhere.

I just returned from my local Harbour Lights dealer after placing my order for the EAST Quoddy Christmas piece.

I will now be calling every other day starting tomorrow to see if it came in yet (just kidding, all good things come to those who wait).

She had a Seven Foot Knoll on display and it looks FANTASTIC!!! (I did however see a potential problem with the masts on the sailboat.)

John, don't worry!! I don't think your little directional slip will affect how all of us feel about you. Your guidance and wisdom far overshadow a liitle momentary lapse of reason.

Keep the Flame!

Knowing the fantastic work Harbour Lights is doing on all their new pieces, I would order any new piece sight unseen. I've never been to East Quoddy Light but I have seen several pictures of it. This was an excellent choice for the 1999 Christmas HL.

John,

YOu need to do that on the blackboard to get the full benefit! Ha Ha. Brings back memories.

Mike

Took a chance and ordered East Quoddy myself.

Derith,

Do you have a LE Grosse Point? The old issues are plainer and simpler than the new ones. Details are bland in some cases.

All,

Christmas is closer than you think. I consider myself having four and now getting the fifth with presque Isle. Anyone agree with that?

Hi Moby,

Do not have a LE Grosse Point. The details are scant on some of the pieces, but I do enjoy most of the ones I have in my collection.

The Grosse Point LE is a fairly plain piece, but then it is from the "early years". IMHO, it doesn't do justice to the actual lighthouse and its beautiful keeper's quarters.
