I got a nice postcard of the the Hudson River Series lighthouses in with my Legacy. On the back of the card it says: "Look for your FREE copy of the fantastic book, Lighthouses and Legends of the Hudson, with your purchase of the Tarrytown lighthouse."

I got the same notice with my latest Legacy.

Can't believe I missed seeing this! Just today I went to the library to check out this book in preparation for my upcoming trip this weekend to see some of the Hudson River lights.

This appears to be a new edition as the cover is different. The one I have is 1975 copyright. The author, Ruth Glunt, dedicates the book to her husband who was in charge of the USCG Light Attendant Station, Turkey Point, Saugerties, NY.

There are lots of old photos and while I have not read it all yet, it seems to be simply and candidly written, recalling events at the lighthouses and the river itself.

It certainly will be an excellent companion to the HL series. Thank you Harbour Lights!

I got the same notice. Sure hope its true. I have a pretty good library of Lighthouse books going and this would be a nice addition.

Thanks for the heads up. We just received our Legacy with the postcard. Also thanks to Harbour Lights for another pleasant surprise.

Do we know if the book is available at the dealers or do you have to send away for it?

Last Thursday I picked up La Corina, Fisguard, Tarrytown, and the 1999 Ornaments from my dealer and he indicated that the book accompanied the Tarrytown sculpture. I haven't opened the cellophane yet, but the sticker on the front of the material states "Book Not For Sale, FREE with purchase of Tarrytown, NY Lighthouse, Compliments of Harbour Lights.
