Having the reunion exclusive piece with a red roof, I wonder if the members only non reunion Hooper will have the current green roof ? Any thoughts ?

Paul will be along soon to add much better pictures, if he hasn't done so all ready

As far as I know, the non-reunion roof is still green. But will the non-reunion piece also have a removable roof?

Personally, I love the contrast between the two. Rose Island, the reunion piece from two years ago, featured very minute differences. I much prefer these dramatic ones.

And may I be the first to say---officially on the web, because I'm sure all you reunion attendees used the phrase extensively last weekend---"Wow!™"

Hey Mark, ...Thanks for the pics of the reunion exclusive. I asked that mine be shipped to my home so I really didn't know what it looked like. I didn't see any out of the box at the reunion.

Which brings me to this inquiry: Does anybody know when the exclusives will be shipped to our homes? I realize the HL Crew needs time to get everything packed up from Baltimore and brought back to California, and I wouldn't blame them if they took a week or two off to relax. But, any idea when the pieces will be shipped?

The Society version will have a blue-green roof and pictures it on land. It will NOT have the removeable roof.

Probably expect shipments to begin this week to those who pre-arranged to have HL ship them 'home'. I'll double check on that Wednesday.

I had all of mine shipped and inquired at the reunion. The HL folks said about a week and a half after the reunion was when they would ship them to my house. I assume that was a general statement that would apply to everyone.

I heard from my favorite person at HL that the HSRE will be shipped within two weeks. I can't wait to see it in my collection.

Did anyone have something more than Bill Younger's signature written on the bottom of the roof of their Reunion piece? Just curious.

Mine said "Did you take vitamins today?", which I thought was a bit unusual. Did he write these types of sayings on the last reunion piece, or is this something new?

Bill has written down all these sayings and on which pieces they were marked. And of course HL knows which pieces you each got.

So when these items appear on ebay, they'll know who is selling....

Just kidding.

Now that Harbour Lights has started shipping the Hooper Strait Reunion Exclusives to our homes, I really can't wait to see if there is something other than Bill's signature on mine. I figure that makes them more personalized...nice idea, Bill!

Kim was at the chat tonight for a bit and was asked about these comments by Bill.

She said he was 'crazy' and that when she said he really shouldn't be doing that, on the very next one he wrote "Kim is bossy!". She gave up.

1- has Bill's signature with the date
2- signature with date and "with thanks"
3- signature with date and "thank you"
4- signature with date and "keep the flame"

If folks would post numbers and sayings, we could figure out when he ran out of things to say. My "Did you take vitamins today" was #299.

One of my Hoopers has "Nancy's away, Kim's in charge" writen on it. I was a little disappointed, I was hoping for "Kim's Bossy". He also drew a couple of eyes on it. The other one just has his signiture. The numbers are hard to read. They might be 375 and 376, but the 3 looks more like a crooked n or m.

Hopefully, my Hooper Straits will be in within the next couple of days. I'm really curious to see if any of the four have a "Billism" on it.

Well the big day was today, Hooper Straits (4) arrived this afternoon. I received #'s 521, 522, 908, and 909. My minis were 521 & 522. I checked all four for any "Billisms" but found only Bill's signature and the date of 10-4-01. I guess Bill only wrote phrases on a portion of the Hoopers. Can't say that I blame him. He must get tired of signing all those pieces sooner or later.

I'm happy they arrived with no problem.

#566 arrived today - W/Thanks

Anyone's mast a bit bent? Mine's tilted a tad toward the lighthouse but that's the way it's staying! How many folks put the top back on the right way?

To tell the truth (do you remember the television program), I took mine out of the box to inspect them, and then they were return to the box. I haven't decided exactly how I'll display it yet. It will definitely be in the main curio. Time will tell....

My Hooper went straight into my main curio.

The mast on my Hooper is also bent towards the lighthouse a little bit.

My #410 says "be nice" along with a cartoonish pair of eyeballs. My #411 just has Bill's signature and the date. I wonder if there is a message of some type if all of the Billisms were put together.

My 2 Hooper Straits arrived yesterday!!
#230- "thanks, 10 years" & signature
#231- "with thanks" & signature

231 went straight to the front top shelf of the curio cabinet for all to see.
#230 got put away in storage with the rest of the Reunion package to help with the next reunion/(cruise?) or for getting me that Ocracoke I still want/need....

Pretty clever being on the ceiling.
My #916 is signed only
