This is to let all of you Harbour Lights lovers know that the new Southeast Lighthouse "On the Move" (with an event exclusive sticker and post card) will be available at the "Benefit on the Block", commemorating the 10th anniversary of the move. Bill Younger and Harry Hine will be at this celebration on August 9th, 2003 at the Southeast Lighthouse Block Island, RI. and they will be signing these very special pieces. NELL is hosting this event and all proceeds go to Southeast Lighthouse for restoration.

Ron, do you need to be present to pick up this piece (w/ sticker and postcard) or can we order it? Thanks

Jim, I believe that you may be able to order it (although I do not have those specifics at this time). I will find out and let you know if this is possible.

By the way, all proceeds from the sale of these pieces will go for restoration at Southeast Lighthouse.

I'm not certain how this can be. Unless the lighthouse has a gift shop that sells HLs. They are not listed among the 'sponsors' of the Regional Events.

The Regional event piece is supposed to be only available at the four Regional Events.

I'll ask for a clarification from HL on this.

The only Harbour Lights dealer on Block Island is "Shelia's". Perhaps they will utilize a "mobile store" (mini-van or whatever) and haul an ample supply up to the light.

One would think that Southeast Light on the move would be a great seller on the Block.

Hi From the HomeFront!

The Lighthouse is not listed as a Participating Dealer because they are not a dealer. This is a one-time special event that we are allowing a group to sell the piece because all proceeds are non-proft. Sheila's however, is "full-service" HL dealer and will be available to provide you with HL Pieces you need. I hope this clarifies things.

You may purchase Harbour Lights Southeast Light On the Move (with an event exclusive sticker, post card, and signed by Bill and Harry) at the "Benefit on the Block" event August 9, 2003. Hosted by NELL, Benefit on the Block is a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the move of the lighthouse away from the eroding bluffs. The event will be held from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

For more details Email Frank Carbone at FCarboneJr@aol.com

Frank is the co-ordinator acting on behalf of the Southeast Lighthouse. All profit from the sale of these lights goes for the preservation of Southeast Light.

Thanks to those of you who have email'd me to "reserve" your Special "SouthEast Light on the Move". I'm just getting my new printer operating, and I'll get to confirmations this weekend. This model, in my humble (?) opinion is one of Harbour Lights's best...On behalf of Southeast Light, Thanks again...FSC

Dear Lighthousing Friends--
As I look at this thread, I realize that an important point was not clarified....This wonderful model is being purchased by the Southeast Light Foundation and Gift Shop. The good people of NELL are merely helping them by "manning" the task of taking the orders, developing the unique sticker and postcard, asking Bill and Harry to sign, and then donating all profits to the Foundation/Gift Shop.
We are putting pertinent information on the www.NELL.cc website soon. Thank you for your patience. Frank Carbone.

Dear Friends
As follow-up information, I'm happy to report that NELL members have sent their information about the "Benefit On The Block" to our wonderful "webmaster", Penny Miller. So, please visit our website www.NELL.cc for more updated information. We expect a great crowd on August 9th, and lots of enjoyment...Frank Carbone
