Just wondering who has placed orders for any of the first batch of 2007 Harbour Lights?

I haven't yet, but would like to get Mobile Point & Point Bonita.

Wouldn't it be nice if a few of the new releases retired before they made the dealer's shelves.
That would put a stir back into collecting. bash

I have for Grand Island East Channel, MI HL346 ...

Thought I should be brave at least once and see how it will work out with ordering from the UK. But I am dreading the custom's and post office ffees. confused Keep your fingers crossed that it will be bearable smile

With such low edition sizes, that could be a possibility for the right lighthouse replica.

Have I put in an advanced order for 2007? That's automatic, I'm on auto ship.

Not yet.... trying to decide. But I'm leaning heavily toward Grand Island East Channel.

Autoship at this residence also. No need to pre-order, only to pay the bill.

St. Augustine Lens (#60), Gibbs Hill (#54), Grand Island East Channel (#54), Isle of Shoals (#60), and Seul Choix (#54). I'm not on auto ship, but have fallen in love with my dealer who's been getting me double digits for a couple of years. . . . vhappy vhappy vhappy

None yet...how does one get set-up for auto-ship?
Is that a dangerous thing to do? eek

I pretty much have a standing order for anything Great Lakes with my dealer, so I'll have the two new Great Lakes pieces waiting for me.

Bob, an autoship for a collector involves an arrangement with a dealer to purchase each new HL release in exchange for getting the same number each time. Most people who are on autoship are getting a two digit number, but not all. Sometimes you might be allowed to pass on an occassional release, but your deal is you will take them all. Some also have auto ship deals on GLOWs and Anchor Bays. It is a significant commitment on the part of the collector to say the least.

An autoship for the dealer means they have agreed with HL to take a certain number of each and every new release of whichever line they want. They don't always get the same numbers year to year, especially if they are at the newer end of being an autoship dealer. For example, when my dealer first started taking autoship they were receiving pieces in the 1600 range. They moved to the 1200s, then 800s and I think they are now getting pieces in the 600 range but haven't looked recently. Kind of depends on how many dealers in front of them have autoships, and as dealers have dropped they have moved lower and lower in their numbers.

If I may add and I am not sure if it has changed, but when I was on an auto-shipment my dealer was required to purchase At least two of everything. That was LE’s and GLOW’s .
They were not required to buy Anchor Bay’s since it wasn’t under the Harbour Light name. This was before the LLOM so I do not know if they are under the requirements to buy two or not, my guess would be “NO”. I think to be on an auto shipment a dealer has to buy two of everything that has a number with the HL in front.

I believe that my dealer had to agree to two of everything. This may have changed, but don't know. I do believe they could choose LE OE or both. Not all dealers sell both sides of the line.

I've ordered the First Order Lens, Grand Isle, Mobile, Seul Choix. A BIG groupwave for more Michigan HL LE releases (the state with the MOST Lighthouses).
Waiting anxiously for the Big Brown Truck. laugh

I am hoping to visit the real Point Bonita Lighthouse in the next few weeks so I put a pre-order in for the Point Bonita LE.
I thought that it would be fitting to do that at least!

I ordered Point Bonita. Anybody know when pieces will ship for the announced "January" and "February" releases?

A nice feature for the HL homepage would be a note when the auto-ships actually begin.
Such as "Point Bonita - now shipping to dealers". Then people could actually visit a dealer and have a good idea when they could physically see the piece and consider purchasing. I usually track the forum and when I see a piece hitting the West Coast, figured 7 days to the east. Now that HL is on the east coast, 1 to 2 days to Connecticut!

The Grand Island East Channel - #346 must have reached some dealers. I've seen two on Ebay in the last week. The first sold for $82 and the second sold for just under $60. Same seller.

Grand Island East Channel [#346] arrived at my dealer in Wichita, today [January 30th].

It is generally a very nice job, but in both pieces here---ed. #s 415 and 416---the lantern is not square with the tower but is twisted slightly askew. That's disappointing.

Although I don't know where I'm going to put everything (or pay for them for that matter), I'm also on autoship.

My wife and I have ordered the following:

#695 - First Order Fresnel Lens
#346 - Grand Island East Channel
#347 - Seul Choix, MI
#348 - Point Bonita, CA

I think 2007 is off to a great start by Harbour Lights.
