Got a call from my dealer today that it was in. Can't think of a better reason to close the kitchen on another scorcher of a day and have a bite to eat down by the water in Oswego, after picking up this light! This light is ok, not a WOW or anything. But it does have another bit of that "new technology" but I won't say what it is so as not to spoil the surprise for others. Also it seems that no one has or wanted an autoship with a number of 15!

Sue,
You should have #15 on your Cape Hatteras Beacon too?
Double Digits- Congrats!

Congratulations, Sue!! I feel like a thorn between two roses... you have #15, Betty O'Brien has #13.

Okay, I weakened...I took Roanoke out of the box to look it over. The first thing that caught my eye was the very unusual coloring on the base (water, sand, etc). I like that! I would imagine such a mixture of colors would make each Roanoke a wee bit different than another.

The light itself is a real beauty. The only thing I didn't get too excited over are the pilings under the building. They don't look realistic. They are too smooth and "plastic looking".

Overall this light is a definite keeper and a very welcome addition to my collection. By the way, this one is numbered #87 without the two preceding zeros.

We got a call today from the dealer telling us that our Roanoke River piece was in. What a suprise to find it is #162. Like the colors on it. I don't think the picture in the catalogue does this piece justice.

Now the bad news. Somehow one of the posts holding the little boat was broken off the piece. The other piece was loose and almost ready to come off also. Don't know if it came in that way or the dealer did it while she was taking it out of the box. It was unpacked when we arrived. She is sending it back for a replacement. Hopefully we will get the same number.

Have your dealer tell Harbour lights you want the same number or lower. If it were me, I would also contact customer service and let them know I want the same number.

Harbour lights are a lot better with replacing low numbers then they use to be. For some reason I never can receive a low number Society Piece with out a flaw. My low number autoshipment lighthouses are always in good shape but not so with the Society piece.

I got #97 and it came through with flying colors.

No problems.

Tom, one of my boat "posts" were broken also. It seemed to have a little notch in the deck flooring, so I got some super glue and it's now as good as new!

I just picked up my Roanoke River and luckily it is in perfect condition. This one is a real keeper. I just love the boat hanging there! Terry

My Dealer hasn't received my Roanoke River as yet.
I can hardly wait! It looks great in the picture.
