Depending on your distance from San Diego, you should be receiving the latest Lighthouse Legacy anywhere from a few days to several weeks from now.
Beautiful cover photo by Art Seaman!
The Collector's Corner features LADYBUG Darlene Cook and her family.
A nice mention for Steve 'Digger' Ervin and his artistic abilities. This ought to fill up any spare time for commissions for a while!
Good news about Collectors Clubs -- including the Wackos.
And one new introduction that hasn't been mentioned before...
...It's a Florida Light. Any guesses?

If history holds true, here in Murphy, "several weeks" will probably be 6-8 weeks.

Sorry Jim, Not loggerhead key. Nope, Sean. Not Crooked River.
Let me give a hint. It's from the Atlantic Coast.

Anclote Keys
The Florida Lighthouse Association and the Tampa bay Harbour Lights Collectors Club constantly approach Bill with this one. This lighthouse is in bad need of restoration. The estimated cost of repairs 1.5 million. This Lighthouse could use the attention that a L.E. would give it.

Anclote Key? I spoke with a couple of your group at the Baltimore Reunion. You folks seemed well organized in your presentation to help this endangered light. I'm not that familiar with all the lights in Florida so I hope the "mystery light" about to be announced in the Legacy will be your beloved Anclote Light. It's hard to believe HL could keep that light a secret if it is the one JC is referring to. Then again, Monomoy Point was a complete surprise to us New Englanders. Bob

Not Anclote Key.
This lighthouse carries the name of a Saint. An OLD Saint.

How about a revised Cape St. George?
Like a now edition?
Maybe another St. Augustine?

Not St. Joseph or St. George. Yes, a limited edition of 4,000. Randy got it - but I bet he was thinking of another version of the modern tower, not... Double WOW! (WOW! WOW!) Harbour Lights is certainly coming up with some surprises in 2002. I like it! Does any part of the original structure still exist? Bob

No part of the structure still exists.
$75 Size 7x9" (HxW) HL275.
No date in the Legacy, but I'll bet it will available by the time of Bill's signing at the St. Augustine Lighthouse Festival.

In the basement of the St Augustine keepers house is a model of the first Lighthouse. The new Harbour Light L.E. looks just like It. There are many Artifacts in the basement. It is possible that some are from the first lighthouse. I don’t remember.
I think the old St Augustine L.E. will do fantastic done here at the first coast.

Old St.Augustine -- FANTASTIC!! What a great addition to the "gone" series. I'd hoped they would do this. Great job. And only 4,000? HL shouldn't have any trouble selling this one out quickly. Yahhhhooooo!!!

Does this mean I win one? Maybe an A/P? It looks great! I think there is a model and/or a picture of it in their museum at the lighthouse. I see Daniel mentioned the model above! [This message has been edited by Randy Kremer (edited 02-11-2002).]

Randy,
If they are passing out APs for guessing the lights, I should have several coming from guessing them on the chats. Don't think I'd start holding my breath, but then again, a nice shade of blue might compliment the gold and silver.................

Great light for the gone series indeed! (good picture again John or Paul) Can wait to see the real thing. I'll probably see it before I get my legacy. The mule train up the mountain is as slow as ever. Now I have to see if I can manage St. Augustine in my travels in March. Dale

This one looks like it’s a last minute thought. I hope there will be a special sticker for it at the St Augustine lighthouse festival, as per my previous suggestion on this forum. http://www.lighthousekeepers.com/forums/Forum1/HTML/001101.html Daniel [This message has been edited by Daniel (edited 02-13-2002).]

Gee, when I read the two posts directly above and saw the Legacy arrived in AZ, I thought they might be delivered alphebetically. Then I read even further above and saw it made it to Kentucky. Maybe I'll find mine in my mailbox when I go home today. Bob

I received my Legacy in today's mail. That must be some sort of record delivery time from the west coast to the east coast, where the sun was shining all day and it almost reached 50 degrees. I even saw a robin in my backyard this afternoon. Bob

Still not here on west coast of FL. I sure hope the "Old" St. Augustine will be available by the St. Augustine Lightshouse Festival ... I agree what could be more perfect than getting to see Bill, get the new "old" St. Aug. and climb the present day one! I'll keep my fingers crossed!!
