Hi Jim,

I also received Seven Foot Knoll and Point Fermin mini today. They are beautiful and will complement the others in my collection. The workmanship just keeps getting better and better.

I have only seen them displayed at my dealers. My order is in, tho', so it won't be too long now. Excited to add them to my collection.

Picked up my society pieces earlier today. The detail on the mini Point Fermin is really great. Also see that the railing has been added to the porch on the Sea Girt ornament.

Derith,

The UPS person has been enjoying your new club pieces for the past week or so. They wanted you to know they are taking good care of them.

I arrived home to find the 3 new pieces darkening my doorstep today, Seven foot troll, mini Mark Fermin and the Bob Seagirt ornament. All fantastic pieces all though the 7 foot a little smaller than it's neighbor down the road (Thomas Pt. LE) is is another outstanding display of HL's high quality and standards.

I had also heard that the sail boat on 7 Foot had been crafted by none other than Birch Younger (Bob Younger's son). Apparently he has a flair for crafting boats and has been commisioned by HL to do some exclusive boats for a few lighthouses and do some consulting work for Anchor Bay as well.

Hmmmm...

Perhaps all these years of rattling around in lighhouses has rattled my brain somewhat as well... I received my Baltimore, MD Society Gift yesterday and had received my Legacy a few days before. The Legacy contained the special order form for the Christmas piece. I haven't received any forms for 7 Foot Knoll, Point Fermin or the Sea Girt ornament, however, I see that several of you are receiving your pieces already. Is something being done differently this year? If so, and if I have heard about it, I can't recall it. Just another sign that I really am getting older come Monday the 21st.

LH Ghost:

I called to renew my membership and ordered the society pieces over the phone the same time. I did later receive other "stuff" from HL, including certificates to fill out and turn into your dealer to get them. If you renewed by mail, you should get this package soon with the certificates.

I just returned from Block Island to find a card from my dealer notifying me my Society pieces are in. Needless to say, I will pick them up later today. I can't wait to see them. Up until now, all I have seen of them were pictures.

mombo,

Thanks for the info. When I got home from work Saturday evening, said package had arrived. I guess I just got a little anxious when I started seeing that people were receiving their pieces already.

What luck I had today. During lunchtime today I went to the local mall to pay a bill. I decided to stop off at the collectible store. As I'm walking toward the Harbour Lights display, I think my eyes are deceiving me. There was a Port Sanilac right up front, brand new at retail price. Before the clerk had it in her hands, I said I'd take it. Then I asked her if she had the renewal application for the membership society. She said yes and, better yet, she had the kits in and I could have it now.

What else could go my way? I've wanted Sanilac and I found it at retail, I didn't have to wait for my membership kit, and I achieved WACKO status.

Just picked up the Society pieces. I was extremely impressed with the detail on the Point Fermin "mini". They did an excellent job on that piece! The Seven Foot Knoll is a wonderful piece (I'm partial to the color red). The Sea Girt Christmas Ornie is also another work of art. I am very satisfied to say the least. HL comes through again!

Congrats, Joanne! It is your lucky day with all that happening. Did you buy a lotto ticket, too?

It must have been a lucky day all around Joanne. I was in Albany NY today visiting a dealer that I had not been to in awhile. As I was leaving she said, "by the way, we found a couple of old lights in the storeroom that someone had ordered and never picked up. Would you like to see them?" I guess we all know my answer and I now have a Point Fermin LE and a Stonington Harbor (at retail) to go with my Point Fermin Mini. A GREAT day.

I called my dealer today and he said that my Seven Foot Knoll had just arrived today. I went straight from work to pick it up. What a great way to end the work day; going to pick up another HL. It is truly a wonderful piece, I love the sail boat (nice detail). I was surprised also at the low edition number it had, that was not expected.

Had a call from my dealer the 29th, so picked up 7 Foot Knoll, mini Point Fermin and the Sea Girt Ornament on my b-day the 30th. Just had to compare the Pt. Fermin with my dealers display piece to see what was hand-touched. My boat was red and hers brown.

When I got home, my wife and daughters also had Esopus Meadows for me. Had a great day if I do say so myself.

I received my member pieces today...Seven Foot Knoll has to rank as one of the best pieces. I wasn't quite sure when I ordered it, but I take it that the Point Fermin Mini is only available for charter members.

Doc - the mini Point Fermin is available to ALL collectors society members (membership year 1999-2000). Those who were charter members can order the 'hand-touched' one, all others can order the other one. Price is the same $29. Different product numbers 519 is the hand-touched, 528 is the regular. Both are made from the same mold. From first reports, the differences are VERY small.

If you didn't order one (maybe you did but it didn't come with the Seven Foot Knoll), you can call HL or the dealer and let them know. Anytime before April 30, 2000.

Yes John I did get the mini Pt. Fermin along with Seven Foot Knoll and the Sea Girt ornament yesterday. There was "Charter Member" written on the box, COA, name card, and name label on the bottom of the piece (also numbered 519 there). I guess they just automatically know which piece to send to which members. Do we know yet what the differences are between the two versions?

Doc -- only difference I've heard of is the color of the boat. Red on Charter, Brown on others. However, HL says the hand-touching may be different from piece to piece.

Just picked up my Seven Foot Knoll, and the charter Point Fermin mini. Both are wonderful pieces, and the detail is fantastic. I was also suprised to find a Hillsboro waiting for me. My dealer was very happy to see me gather up all my new pieces (ch-ching).

I finally got my Seven Foot Knoll and Point Fermin mini and Sea Girt ornament.
I love the boat in front of the lighthouse, and my only problem is that it's portrayed in much better condition then it really is.
(I really don't think that's bad!)

PS I also got my 1999 Christmas ornaments which are the best yet!

I finally got my mini Point Fermin today, but it was worth the wait. The detail is incredible for such a small piece, and this happens to be one of my favorite HL replicas. My dealer must have had it for a while because my piece is numbered 26!

I got 29 way back when, May? And 36 on 7 Ft. Knoll. Baltimore is 2957. Am wondering how these #'s work. If I renewed for 3 years, should I get these good numbers the next two years also?

Can anyone give me a timeline for delivery of the Seven Foot Knoll from the time your ordered from your dealer until receipt? Obviously I am still waiting for mine.
