Paul's photography of the Cape Henlopen DE sculpture are in. If you don't have yours yet, you can drool over the details on this piece:

(Is that Bill & Nancy being photographed under the tower?)

John, it sure looks like Bill and Nancy to me! With Paul taking the picture of course!

Picked this one up yesterday. I like it even with the "bubble gum" skirted lady, lol. Got one of those cigarette cards with it too!

It sure is a awesome piece. Hudson Athens was my favorate until I picked up my Cape Henlopen #588. It is really detailed. The bricks that have fallen off is really neat. The people standing under it getting their picture taken is a plus also. This is certainly a WOW piece and a must for a lighthouse collector.

A bit of a mystery about the Cape Henlopen piece.

Thumping my finger around on the suede-felt bottom, it appears there's a cavity behind some areas. I wonder if there is foam material put into the bottom to keep the piece from being so heavy?

Or was it done to heep the heavy side from toppling over?

I found out yesterday that the edition size of Cape Henlopen has an upper limit of 8,000. The order-by date is 4/21/2001, but if 8,000 are ordered before that, it will be cut off and retired. This is stated on the Certificate as an edition size of 8,000.

Went to my dealer yesterday to look at Cape Henlopen,WOW. When i first saw this piece in the brochure i really liked it, after seeing it up close this is a must have! I had to put both the Cape and Haig Point in layaway, hated to leave the Cape behind!

Well I finally saw this beauty today and I'm going out on a limb to predict that this will be an award winner!
The pictures(although outstanding) I had seen could not hold a candle to the real thing. The cliff, erosion, sand hill, people on the hill, foundation protruding from the eroded cliff as well as the typical outstanding building and light make this HL a truly unique piece to the collection.
This one's a double WOW in my book!

I received both Cape Henlopen and Haig Point last week. Both are currently on my desk and everyone that come in wants to know what lighthouses these are and if they are accessible to the public. They both are very beautiful and interesting pieces.

I just saw Cape Henlopen at my local lighthouse HL dealer and I agree that it is a very nice piece with remarkable details.

Cape Henlopen is simply awesome!!! I've visited Lewes Delaware on several occasions of the past 15 years and have seen old pictures of the lighthouse from the 1920s or so. I was really looking forward to this piece and it exceeded my expectations. The detail is incredible!

Cape Henlopen has joined the HL Team on the top shelp of my main and largest curio. I give this one "two thumbs up!" It is a fantastic HL! The simulated people was a fantastic idea. Maybe we'll see more of this in the future.
