Does anyone have any idea when the next Fresnel lens will be released? I was fortunate enough to acquire one and am looking forward to more of these magnificent pieces!

Could be one or two yet this year according to a "usually reliable source."
Or production or scheduling problems might put it (them) off until 2002.

Now this is a very fine question that the collectible comunnity would like to know the answer of. Looks like we will all have to wait and see. ...patience is hard when you know that next lens is going to be just as great and sought after as the first! I sure hope pre-ordering helps if HL keeps the edition to 4000 or it is going to be even harder to acquire the next lens in the proposed set. Perhaps bumping the edition size up a bit to 5000 may help a bit. Anyone elses thoughts on this fine piece? Christopher

My bank account says,"2002 will be just fine". As for the edition size, I have no problem with 4000 or 5000.

Got a kick out of your answer John. You could have a future as a press secretary for some embattled politician!!!

John would make a great press secretary for anyone who needs a smooth "answer"! John is fun to talk to!!!
Clam shell would be great but one of the most beautiful lenses that I have seen is the one at Umpqua River Lightstation in Oregon. 24 alternating red and white bull's eye panels makes this a truly magnificent 1st order lens.
What lens is chosen, I hope that it will have bull's eyes!
Keepin' the flame!

I agree with Derith...a "Cham Shell" sure would look nice....especially, sitting next to the "Beehive" on the shelf.

Clam Shell? Think Point Vicente. Clam Shell? Think L.A. Harbor. Plenty of Clam Shell Lenses near Harbour Lights to do easy research.
