While on our trip across the Sandusky Bay to see the Marblehead Lighthouse on Monday we found out from the guide that they are having tours of the lighthouse weekdays from 1:00 to 4:45PM through Labor Day.
We made the trek up the 75 or so steps and went out on the walkway and enjoyed the beautiful view of the Bay and the Lake Erie Islands.
The guide told us the best time to go is around 3:30PM because there shouldn't be a wait then. The museum in the keeper's house next to the lighthouse is also open.
Best of all is it is all FREE.
