December 7, 2006 at the Arizona Memorial
Larry and I attended the 65th commemorative ceremonies of the bombing of Pearle Harbor. The ceremonies included the survivors and their families as some of the survivors layed wreaths in honor of those who died that day. We had the priviledge of meeting some of the "greatest generation" personally.
Diamond Head Lighthouse in the evening
Larry and I weren't able to go inside the lighthouse, the admiral was entertaining several high ranking coast guard officers at a big party. They forgot to send us our invite...oh well!
Nawiliwili Lighthouse
Larry took this picture from the deck of our cruise ship cabin as we were leaving Kuai.
Kilauea Lighthouse
Larry and I love this lighthouse. The views from every direction were breathtaking. We were told we should be able to see whales but never did. The entire area is national wildlife refuge so it is kept quite pristine. When we were there we were able to see the nesting sights of condors.

Sorry it took me so long to post these pics. Larry and I went to Hawaii Dec 5 - 17th 2006, for our 30th wedding anniversary. We spent 4 days on Oahu at the Hilton Hawaiian Village on Waikiki Beach and then got on board a Norwegian Cruise Line ship called Spirit of America for a seven day 4 island cruise. We helicoptored over volcanoes, bicycled down Haleakala Crater, snorkled at Molokini with green sea turtles, and enjoyed view at Waimea Canyon and along the Napali coast line. I can't wait to go back!! Got to see some lighthouses along the way so it was really cool. We also went up along the north shore of Oahu to see the Pipemasters surfing contest...the waves were 24 feet when we were there. We took over 1200 digital images so it has taken us awhile to organize them. Hope you enjoy the few we posted.
