If you have never seen the VT lights you are in for a treat. A few years back we went with The Pixie on a tour she set up seeing the Hudson River lights and also the VT lights and it was great. Thanks to LI Bob we saw two very special VT lights...Isle LaMont and Windmill Point and also were able to meet the owners. It is about time you got to see these lights Bob. I know you all will enjoy this trip and I hope we see lots of photos from this trip posted here.

I'm going...handed my check in the other day...can't wait! Vermont is, strangely, one of the 17 states in the USA I have yet to visit. Don't ask how, considering I live 4 hours away! But this trip will rectify that. smile

Here's a story I did for my blog about the lighthouses in Vermont after a 2007 visit. Might shed a little light on a few for those who've never seen them.

Nice article Roland. Windmill & Isle of LaMotte are owned by the Clarks who are very proud of their LHs and willing to show them. They've had lawsuit from the adjoining development about access to the IsleLH which limits it's accessibility. They've done a great job upkeeping them on their own. The elder Clark died last year but his son Rob continues the tradition. I met them many years ago at Montauk LH and have kept in touch over the years, I look forward to finally visiting their LHs in September. Long overdue!

Just thought I'd put this out there...I'm in need of a roommate to save costs on this trip. If there's anyone who's going up and in the same situation, or open to it, I'm a tidy non-snoring (as far as I know) male roommate who has gotten rave reviews from prior roommates.

If anyone's interested, please email me with the little button above.

I'm going no matter what, but hotels in the leaf country in September are expensive! eek
