Hi,
Does anyone out there know where "Turtle Island" Lighthouse (Ohio) is located? It is listed as an endangered lihgt in the "Lighthouse Digest".

Welcome to the forums. A good place to start your information search is the Internet Index of Lighthouse Links which is provided courtesdy of Harbour Lights and John. This is probably the best organized and presented list of links for things related to lighthouses you will find anywhere. Go to the state by state choice, choose Ohio and you will find 2 links to Turtle Island Light.

These links indicate it is on the Ohio-Michigan border and was replaced by the Toledo Light, so I would look in western Lake Erie, north of Toledo.

Here's a Terraserver map that locates the island for you. Can't view the light from mainland, have to charter a boat out to it and Toledo Harbor Light. Use the zoom bar and arrows to maneuver around the area. Downtown Toledo is towards the bottom left.
