Thanks for posting your pictures, they are great. Brings back memories for me of last years LI Lighthouse Challenge. I too like the "God Rays" in your pictures.

Thanks for sharing your photos Tom. It's nice the weather held out for you. I like the third picture of Plum Island.

Tom,
Great photos. Glad you enjoyed the cruise - and missed most of the bad weather.
Esther and I took it last year during the Challenge and it was great- we had three things you didn't have though-
1. Better weather
2. Bob Muller doing his naration- although I was told that the gentleman that did it on your cruise did a fine job as well (I spent most of the day Saturday with Diane and Bob and others at Orient Point for the Challenge)
3. Nancy helping to get a cake for Esther's birthday (which actually was the day we were on the cruise last year).
I wish I had known early enough that you and Hilary were going on the Cruise. I would have skipped the Kickoff Dinner and gone with you.

One more thing Tom, Hilary and the rest missed on Saturday...after a brief shower, a rainbow emerged over Plum Island. I also heard from a friend of mine who was doing the Challenge that there was a rainbow at Fire Island on Sunday.

Dennis Dennis, It would have been good to have you along on the sunset cruise. Sorry you won't be able to make the NELL weekend. HCS

Lorie, that picture was taken just as the sun was going down. Diane, it was a pleasure meeting/talking to you and I really enjoyed the cruise. The gentleman that did the narration did a fine job too. It would have been nice to have you on board with us Dennis. I missed the cruise last year. When my daughter tried to make reservations she was told it was sold out. You need to do something about scheduling your trips. I know you have missed several NELL events that you were planning on attending and I see that your not going to be able to make it again in June. Thats to bad. Hopefully we'll all be able to get together again soon. You might not remember but we met at the NY Harbor cruise last year for the first time.

Tom, Of course I remember meeting you last year on the NY Harbor Cruise. Shirin introduced us- after we had already started talking to each other, I beleive. I used to have a LI Curse but it seems to have been transferred to NELL events. It seems that something comes up to make me have to cancel out of things- it used to be about every 2 out of 3 events on LI but recently it's transferred itself to NELL events. I'm going to get to one of them eventually- I can't make the rescheduled Avery Point Relighting because it's the same weekend as the NJ LH Challenge. The problem is sometimes you have to make plans so early something comes up in between and if you don't make the reservations you miss out because it's sold out (like you with the cruise last year). That's life. Dennis
