Boon Island Lighthouse shot from in front of...

Nubble Lighthouse..

Since it was overcast and raining the last time we just had to come and get some pictures with a blue sky..

Since it was low tide this trip to the lighthouse I went down to the water level for some images..

It has been a little windy here at the lighthouse yesterday and today.. There are no stripes left to go with the stars on the flag..

We did have supper at the Fox Lobster House this trip, I took this image from our table while enjoying my lobster stew..

Once we got to Maine we had great weather, it rained the whole way out once we hit Ohio, not a drop in Indiana..

State Street Cafe was an old store in downtown Phoenix, NY, now a terrific little cafe with WiFi..

This time they are images of Mombo's flowers not images of flowers for Mombo on one of our trips..

Mombo gave us the grand tour of her place and her waterfront view..

You were in my most favorite part of the country, the White Mountains of New Hampshire and the coast of Maine. Mt Washington already has snow on it, always a beautiful sight, especially the contrast with the fall colors. Winter on the top of Mt Washington gets the world's worst weather. Summer on the mountain, though is absolutely spectacular, as is the top of Cannon Mtn. Didn't get a chance to get up there this fall, thanks for those heartwarming photos. Makes me feel like I'm there while sitting in my office!

Again Paul, great to see your photos and it was wonderful to see Sue. She looks great! Loved seeing the changing of the leaves. It sure does not seem like fall here today it was 98 degrees. eek

After we left Mombo's home, we decided to swing by Oak Orchard Light to see how the construction and painting was coming along..

Well the painting was axactly as it was 3 weeks ago when we swung by on the way home from our earlier Maine trip..

There was how ever some new construction going on..

I couldn't figure out quite what they are building on the end of the stairs, it looks like maybe a ramp to the door..

It was great seeing Paul and Sue again! As you could see from the open gates in Phoenix the current was pretty strong and the canal had been closed for over a week. The very next morning it was open and the boats have been going ever since, most of them headed south for the winter. My pc location has the same view and, as I type, two more boats just headed south.

North Conway is a neat place, stayed there when the kids were young. We took the Kickamungus Highway through the mountains, a really great drive, except in the winter when it's closed!

I'd say that's a ramp they're building at the lighthouse. Ramps are in these days especially for the older folks who have trouble with stairs.
