Anyone see Fear Factor last night? In one of their stunts, they had Point Vicente Lighthouse, California in the background. It was quite a surprise and pleasure to see this light on a prime time show! Having never been there, it was nice seeing the shoreline of the ocean and the light sitting there above it! Lighthouses must still be an "in" thing if TV is still showing them!

You know...maybe they can hold the next Survivor inside a lighthouse!

That would be great, each season would be a different exotic, isolated location. Any of the Great Lakes during the winter? Or how about Thomas Point with no boat.

Hey, I like the idea of the Great Lakes lights in winter! Two years ago between Christmas and New Year's day when I was photographing at South Haven, the air temp was a balmy -28 and with the wind chill, a brisk -55F! I'd like to see 'em survive that for any length of time!

I really don't follow the alleged reality shows. I've probably seen each one of them a couple of times but never make it a point to be glued to the tube whenever they're broadcast.

I will admit I find some of the mental and physical aspects challenging. The sequences that I most dislike are the consumption of substances not meant for consumption, at least by my standards.

It is amazing what some people will do for money and television exposure. I suppose they look at it as their chance to be famous.

To answer your question, Randy, I didn't see the lighthouse on Fear Factor. If I had watched the show, it would have been the only bright spot of the telecast in my eyes.
