It is good to be back here, I haven't posted in quite awhile. The holidays were so busy.
I am asking this because I have only looked at one Hatteras ever so I don't have anything to compare it to.

It has two different colors at the top of the light, meaning where the stripes end at the top of the catwalk it has a shade of blue green paint
then a black band just below the fresnel and then the dome itself is the blue green paint again with the lightning rod attached.

Is this the normal paint scheme? I have looked on Harbour Lights website at both 102 and 102R and I can't tell any color variation at all.
If you fine people can help me out by looking at your 102R and tell me if yours is the same, it would help out so much!

Rick, My Cape Hatteras 102R is Canadian and #2163. From where the black/white stripes end under the catwalk, the rest of the area from there is a dark shade of green. There is no black area at all. If there is a black ring, I must be color blind because I don't see it.

You might also go to "By the Numbers" Forum and look up the post"Do you own a 102R". It has some interesteing information from about 30 collectors.

This one is Malaysian and like I mentioned yes the catwalk is a shade of green with maybe a half inch black ring then a small green band then the fresnel then the dome itself is green.If anyone with a Malaysian mold Hatteras could look at theirs and let me know if they have the same thing it would be appreciated.

I have a Malysian #4720
It is just as you described yours.
From the black and white stripe up.
The color is forest green at the catwalk. Then just above it is a 1/2" black band. Then a very small band with the forest green color again. Then the fresnel lense and the top of the light it is forest greeen again.

Rick - I also have the Malaysian Hatteras and it is the same as you describe.
