Well, due to my impending move from snow-free (?) Florida to North Carolina, my computer goes back in the box Monday (1/1) and on a truck until 1/10/2001. This will give all you other Wackos a chance to talk about me unfettered until I get back on the air (LOL). Have a great New Year and seeya on the spiral staircase!!

Have a safe trip,George. I moved in the oppisite direction a few years ago, and I got to tell you. I'm not in any hurry to move back to NC, during the Winter months. Wouldn't mind it during the spring or Fall, but just not January.

Have a safe trip to Murphy NC. We have spent many fall days there but Can"t handle the winter. Good old Fla. works fine this time of the year.

Like Weasel, I too moved in the other direction some 30 years ago and would find it hard to warm up during the winters after all these years. The ones in Roanoke Rapids, NC, where I was reared, were not as cold as the four cold winters in Mars Hill, NC while I was going to college. Murphy is a beautiful part of NC and I hope you will enjoy your stay there. Will it be for a long while?

OK all you Florida folks... you can enjoy your mild winters all you want. But whens the last you got in a big snowball fight? or cut a dounut in a K-Mart parking lot? There are some things about winter you just got to enjoy

My husband pays for me to enjoy a week in the frozen beauty once a year in Lake Tahoe. I get my fill and come back to the warm weather of Florida.

Best Wishes George, for a safe and uneventful move. Ahh winters in NC can't be anywhere as bad as up here in Central NY.
At least they don't last for 7 months like they do here. Enjoy, its a beautiful state.
