OK vsnlex you just inspired me,

I've wanted to try posting a picture & a gif for a year now but I hate making mistakes. Now for whatever reason, tonight I'll take the plunge (I can't swim either) and make that attempt tonight!

Honestly, that took me several attempts please tell me what I was doing wrong.

I kept getting small icons that looked like a word document with the URL typed behind it.

I printed out the UBB code sheet-(just click on the "UBBCode is on" located just to the left of the screen that opens when you open REPLY) and it gives instructions. They seem pretty straight forward and "it works".

So where is your lighthouse? What is the name?

The lighthouse is Punta Gorda.

It sits isolated south of Cape Mendocino near Petrolia. From Hwy 101 the drive to Petrolia is about 30 mi. (OR 1.5 - 2 hrs.!) From the beach near Petrolia you hike about 7 miles roundtrip over loose sand and part of the trail is not accessible at high tide. Not the most convenient lighthouse, but worth the trip.

PS after looking at the different codes I tried, I believe the problem was space between " and the URL.
