Man, this site is slow. Slow slow slow. Been that way for about a week now. Anyone else experiencing extremely slow loading of pages in the forums?

Not fast, but not slow like you must be experiencing. Some of it today may be due to the fact that in loading the new software, it's necessary to 're-index' all the threads. That may mean those pages load slower? (Tim?)

And just maybe the critical mass is 6,400 messages and we're about to implod in an explosion of pixels and bytes that will put Tybee's fireworks to shame?

I don't think its associated with the forum software upgrade. Been happening for about week now. At first I thought it was IE5, but Netscape is just as slow.

You may be right about the number of messages. But I suspect its the ISP's link to the net, or their hardware and not the forum software. This is conjecture only. I do know that my access to other Web sites is not slow.

It seems OK to me. I haven't noticed a slowdown. Maybe it's Tim's ISP's connection to the web?

It is slow Tim, because you are having to drag around the other 417 registered users with you through the forums, such is the plight of a Saint. LOL

Haven't seen you around much Tim. Maybe you were in some other slower forum?

OK for me but at 5pm things are a bit slower than usual.

It's working fine for me, both here at home on my Mac PC and at work on my PC compatible. 56K modem at home and around 240 ISD line at work. Last night it was sluggish when the updates and such were happening. I don't know much about why computers work or don't work, but sometimes when I completely clean out the cache, things operate smoother, especially after updating something.
