Question regarding the visits by unique users - what does that mean? Does that mean number of times the forum is visited? Or number of individuals on the forum regardless of how many times per day they've accessed the forum? I ask because sometimes I open the forum four or five times a day and I wonder if that's considered one unique visitor or five unique visitors or not a unique visitor?

A unique visitor is based on the IP address of your computer. You usually have the same IP address for a day no matter how many times you sign on. But you won't necessarily have the same IP from day to day unless you have a 'permanent' connection rather than a dial-up one. The 'visit' is based on visits to any and all pages at www.LighthouseKeepers.com, the host to these forums. By far, the vast majority of these visits is to the forum pages. By comparison, the HarbourLights.com site now receives about 750-900 unique visits a day.

This is my post #40. 10 more and I will be a WACKO, even though I have been told for several years that I am one allready, however, in many unrelated fields.

Let me encourage all the "non-posters" ....get started!!! Once you dive in it is relatively easy to keep going and soon you will be Wako City. Also ....head to the chat rooms on Wednesday and Thursday ( see schedule posted) and get in on that lively group. Again ..dive into the chats...all the folks are very friendly and very interesting. There are a few strange ducks there too (quack quack)but that makes it more interesting. Host John does a great job on the chat flow. Hope to read all the "new posters" soon! I like these smiles guys.... and all their friends... [This message has been edited by vsnlex (edited 02-20-2000).]

I've always been a bit of a "Wacko" when it comes to HL's....but now that I'm approaching 50 posts does that mean that I will actually become "certified"? And...does that allow me any additonal "perks" such as thicker padding on the walls, etc., etc.? ------------------ Brent

Brent, 1) When you hit 50, you get to buy 10 more new Harbour Lights without the need for prior spousal approval AND..... you get to not worry about how you pay for them!!!! I think that is what WACKO means (Without Approved Consent, Keep Ordering !!!) 2) Also, now you can respond to this and close in on your final posting Go for it !!
