I am posting this early so any member of the CF that will be attending Dave's Long Island N. Y. trip will know about this and plan on attending if they wish.
This will be open to non-members on Feb.16, 2007.
Please contact me if you wish to make arrangements for this trip before that date.

Wouldn’t it be nice to sail out of Rockland Harbor, Me. passing Rockland Breakwater and Owls Head lights and enjoy a sunset/dinner cruise with your choice of a complete steamed lobster dinner which includes the following; chowder, corn, mussels, potato, steamed lobster, and butter? Or, for those that don't eat seafood, you may choose a 1/2 grilled chicken accompanied by potato salad and a tossed salad. Cash bar available.
Then, the next day, sail out of Rockland Harbor to view the following lighthouses; Rockland Breakwater, Owls Head, White Head, Tenants Harbor/Southern Island and Monhegan Island. The boat will dock at Monhegan Island which will allow you time to walk the 1/2 mile up to AND CLIMB Monhegan Light. After leaving Monhegan you will pass Manana Island and view the remnants of the old Coast Guard Fog Signal Station and then head to Marshall Point Light and Two Bush Island Light before heading back to port,
arriving approximately 6:00 p.m.

If this interests you, you are invited to the New England lighthouse Lovers annual fund raising and meeting weekend.

Recommended attraction; The Maine Lighthouse Museum which houses the CWO Ken Black Exhibition and the Museum of Lighthouse History (formerly located in Wells, Maine) have become one and is now one of, if not the largest lighthouse museum in the country and is right across the street from the Trade Winds Hotel. If you haven't visited the Maine Lighthouse Museum, I strongly recommend you visit and see some fantastic displays and lighthouse history. There is also a satellite store of Light House Depot on the premises.
