Anyone wishing to help work on the Pottawatomie lighthouse on Rock Island, we will be there July 5,6 & 7. July 7th will also be the FORI annual meeting along with a free concert by Lee Murdock, a maritime folk singer. Our club will present a check for the lighthouse restoration project to FORI which the funds came from the Chicago Regional Event and the Door County Lighthouse Walk. Well, I'm finishing last minute things and will be leaving for Rock Island at 3am Thursday Morning. Weather is looking good so far, but on the Great Lakes we know that can change in an instant. So far we have about eight people signed up for the work days. You may just show up, there'll be plenty of work for everybody. Thanks for volunteering to help restore Pottawatomie Lighthouse.
