Is there anyone out there in the Ocala, Gainesville, Daytona area(maybe even Jacksonville)Florida area that would be interested in starting a Harbour Lights Club. The clubs in Tampa and Orlando are just a little bit to far to drive for a meeting during the week. If their meetings were earlier in the weekdays or on the weekends it would be easier to make for an old retired Coastie who is used to going to sleep at 9 PM.

If interested please give me a reply. Maybe we can garner enough interest through north central Florida collectors to start having meetings.

I am interested.
I am a little over one hour drive from Gainesville and a hour drive from Jacksonville. I am also a member of the Tampa Bay club but never made a meeting because it's just to far away.

If the club forms and meets in the Jacksonville area I might be interested in joining. Thats a 5 hour drive for me but it would be a good reason to get out of town for a weekend should the club make the meetings during the weekend.

Come on people! Surely ther has got to be people in the northcentral Florida area that want to get together and talk/visit lighthouses. I cannot believe that I got only 3 responses. With the popularity of Florida's lighthouses there must be many collectors buying them or are the tourists buying them while they're here.

Please let me know that you are out there and interested. Don't wait till after we form and get in there, get to be a plank owner.

There were a few of us at the reunion that were talking about starting a "east cost" club. But if meetings are durning the week it would not be likely I would make them either. & as far as the trips or lighthouse fun or working on Anclote, for me Tampa is not too far away. But if a club gets going on east coast, please let me know?!
