The Hoosier Lighthousing Club had a fantastic time this year at our annual Christmas party. We started out as usual at the Old Michigan City Lighthouse and enjoyed coffee and some delicious cookies that were made by some of the gals that work at the lighthouse museum. We want to extend a great big thanks to all of them. After the lighthouse had its Christmas lights gleaming we all carefully navigated our way out to the Creekwood Inn B&B for our holiday festivities. Here are a few pictures to get you in the holiday spirits.

OMC Lighthouse with blustery winds and snow falling

Kat in front of the Creekwood Inn B&B decorated for Christmas

Friendly hugs as members gather to enjoy a delicious Christmas dinner in the conservatory at the Inn...and peace to you Charlotte Graham!

The club members enjoying catching up on whats been happening in everyones busy lives as we enjoy Christmas music

Anxiously watching each other open our Christmas gifts during our annual exchange of presents

Lots of oohs and aahs happening as each present was carefully opened

Roy McBee and his new found friend, bath time here we come.....

Rex Graham received another really cute lighthouse related gift, everyone was so creative with their gift choices

Larry and I both had a wonderful time at the party and wanted to say thank you very much to Dave, Sue, and Heather Hannum for bringing gift bags for everyone as well as bringing iced tea. We also want to thank everyone who brought their favorite "Christmas dessert" everything was delicious!!
Also, thank you to the game girls for keeping us entertained. And a big thanks to everyone who came in spite of the snowy roads and cold weather....we had an absolutely fabulous time!! A few more picture of our bingo game to follow.

Thanks for sharing this annual, festive event with us, Larry and Kat. I love seeing pictures of OMC - and at the beginning of the snow season, no less! It's great seeing so many familiar faces - did Heather change her hair color or what? Looking good!! So Dave behaved, huh? Maybe the hip surgery replaced more than the hip?! Told ya' I'd get you, Dave!! :p

I thought I would explain why you don't see the Bradys in any of the images of the club Christmas gathering... My lovely wife came down with a bug and had a fever on Friday so we didn't make it to the gathering.. It looks like all had a great time.. The club is planning on reserving the BB for next year. The reports are that it was perfect for the Club's Christmas party after the lighting of the lights at the lighthouse..

On another note the lighthouse is about to under go some major floor repair work where the old steam heat registers (since removed) has leaked for years on the floors.. Doyne and Cindy Cole's company won the contract to do the repairs during the Museum's off season.. There will be a lot of small projects for the Club to do when we gather at the Old Lighthouse in the Spring after all of these major projects have been completed (including all new air conditioning and heat)..

Onward to The Land of the Midnight Sun!

All of you do a fantastic job at OMC, Paul. The club is the best thing that could have happened to this lighthouse; it is meticulously cared for by all the volunteers. Thanks for preserving it for the rest of us to enjoy. Hope Sue is all recovered!
