Here is a picture of this light after its remodeling which had raised such a furor. I really don't think it looks that bad. Has anyone seen it after the house was completed?

I was up there when they already started the remodeling. I was concerned they were going to destroy the keeper's house for the sake of building something the owner wanted at that beautiful location. Now that I see the finished product, it looks pretty good!

Wonderful photo of the lighthouse. Have you explored the website that is given? I did not get a chance tonight to explore it. I hope to explore it this weekend.

My wife and I were there in late July. We thought it looked great!

Roy and Carolyn: Jeremy D'Entremont's site is the greatest! I check it quite often. You can sign up for a monthly notification which includes lots of New England lighthouse news, updates to the site and a monthly trivia contest! Jeremy, imo, is the authority on New England lights and will gladly answer your questions via email.

We were at Cape Elizabeth before they started the demolition and the rebuilding. We were very thankful to get pictures before they tore the original structure down. Yes the new building looks ok, however it will never, never, never look again like it did when it was orginally built.
