I found a few other things, but, they all stated the same thing. (exactly the same) Here's pics of the light http://www.lighthousefriends.com/light.asp?ID=815 It looks like another "Texas Tower" is going down.

It would be a shame to lose it, as all the lights that have stood there are still standing. It's a vital link in lighthouse history, possibly the only place in the country where so many styles are represented in one place. Also, I see this: "...and removal of the existing damaged tower from the river bottom." Does that mean that they're removing one of the older towers, too?

I thought of that also but they couldn't remove the other 2 standing SW Pass towers, they are in a wildlife refuge (I think). Maybe they're referring to the old Jetty light that used to be their (until the TX Tower was lit)
