Derith won the all-expenses paid lighthouse tour in 2002 with the USLH Society with ticket #724. I had #725. Boo, Hiss, missed it by THAT much.

But it couldn't have happened to a better person and no one could have been happier to win that Derith!

Congrats Derith!!! Paul must of used his special stealth filter to get that picture of you. I can actually see you. I like John came close but no cigar with ticket #722.

What a great picture Paul...Derith, I agree it could not have happened to a better person...I bet she won it because she gave me her win of Chicago Harbor HL piece...you know that old saying...the more you give the more you receive in return...Let's hope now that the trip is not one to Bosnia... Knowing Derith should would still be happy about it...

I can truthfully say I know how those stunned contestants on The Price Is Right feel when they are called to come on down.

Jim Johnston and I were sitting beside each other and kept looking at our ticket numbers as the clothing and LEs were awarded...Bill kept saying, "if you win, let's hear your enthusiasm". Do any of the rest of you remember whether he said the last three digits of the lighthouse tour winner in slow motion or not? Seems to me he did.

So, how does a 58 year old show her elation when the realization comes that she is holding the number that was called....she wiggles her nose and quickly becomes visible, so Sean can see her, beams herself in from O'Hare and stands up and screams, "Me"! (funny thing is Jim knew I was there.) Then euphoria took over!

My husband is excited for me and keeps asking what time of year the trip is going to be. There are certain months he just can't be away....so it depends on that whether he goes along. Never have been to Bosnia....so we'll see.

I feel so blessed to have won the opportunity to do this kind of trip and really wish each and every one of you could go along....we would have the time of our life. Thank you for being happy for me.

Congratulations on your latest win! Just can't take you anywhere without you winning something! I'll have to have you pick up some lottery tickets for me.

By the way, I was talking with Maureen today and she mentioned that they had the final list of trips from the USLHS. It appears that the trip you will be going on is a new venture for them, "The Lighthouses of Iceland". I believe Maureen mentioned that it would be in early December 2002. Have a great time.

Still don't know exactly where we will go, but my husband wants to make the trip with me...I hear Iceland is beautiful at certain times of year.....I'll go just about anywhere to see lighthouses......

Derith... I am so happy for you! This couldn't have happened to a sweeter person. Yes, Iceland is beautiful, but don't go in the later months of the year. LOL The Shetlands are beautiful as well. Again, my congratulations to a wonderful lady!
