Barbara Solow of The Independant has written a lengthy, but highly enlighthening article exposing the war waged by Rep. Walter B. Jones for the Currituck lighthouse. A very interesting read...well done Barbara! http://indyweek.com/durham/current/cover.html Judy

Thanks, Judy... I've scanned the story and it looks like it's going to be a good read. I think there might be a book in this when the final story has been told. Be sure to click on the link at the bottom "They'll leave the light on for ya.." about Jenn Barr and John Birkholz or use this one: http://indyweek.com/durham/current/cover2.html Let's spread the word about this interesting review of the agony that one mis-directed congressman can do.

Thanks for the link to that article Judy. This was a great piece, providing alot of background info along with the current state of affairs.
It was certainly interesting to read that some of the Currituck folks that previously supported the county taking ownership are having second thoughts!
