Hey why not! Through in a few more Maine lights in the works... What the heck. I'm Game!! Someone is going to get jealous; but not me. Keep it coming HL, I fully support any future Maine light as I hope to be a legal resident there soon!!! Since we are talking about the Mt Desert Island area, what about Egg Harbour light? Yippie... I agree that Mt. Desert Island would make a beautiful LE. That wide base would make an interesting light. I don't know that HL has made one with that wide a base and taper. Maybe someone can enlighten us! I know I would buy it and would hope that many others would also! Bert [This message has been edited by MtnHkr (edited 05-09-2002).]

Maine lights will always get my vote. I have done two whale watches trying to see Mount Desert Rock and neither one has gone that far out. My mission in August is to see it somehow, some way. Terry

I especially enjoy the Maine lights... my first H-L purchase being a West Quoddy, albeit the GLOW version.

A big Yesssssssssss----for the Maine Lights! Just received my Hendricks Headand it's beautiful! I saw it last summer when I went on a Captain Fish boat trip on the Kennebec and Sheepscot Rivers. We saw eight light- houses. A really nice trip out of Boothbay Harbor. Also went out of Camden on the Lively Lady 11 and saw eight more. When I go up again this summer I plan to do the Camden trip again, but to see different ones. They have about five different trips. Also plan to do the Isle of Shoals Boat out of Portsmouth, N.H. Most of these lighthouses can only be seen from the water. I'm hooked!

kikigl, Thanks for your post about the trips out of Boothbay, Camden and Portsmouth. Not sure of when they leave yet, but you've given me incentive to look these up and get out there and take pictures and see the lights. Thanks, Bert

We went on that same Kennebec River cruise last year as well. Unfortunately, we went on Sept. 11th. Had no idea what had happened in NY (very close to home) until we pulled into the dock at 12:30 and the Captain announced terrorist attacks had crumbled the WTC. What a shock!! But the lighthouses were beautiful and the ride terrific. I would recommend it to anyone!!
