I grew up in New Bedford, Massachusetts, and the very first lighthouse I can remember seeing is Butler Flats. I have a customer whose father swam to the lighthouse to visit the keeper, then was stranded there during the Hurricane of 1938, his parents not knowing where he was. That lighthouse also holds special meaning to her, and neither of us have ever seen a Butler Flats replica. Maybe now is the time HL?

You never know! I remember how surprised I was when Clark's Point was introduced and also Bullock's Point. You just never know what may be replicated.

Bob M,
Clarks Point was my very first Harbour Lights. The detail was unbelievable. Seeing it was what put the fire under me to start buying and Collecting Harbour Lights.

I would like to see Harbour Lights make "Point Cabrillo" in Northern Ca. I've been waiting for this one for a long time.

Simply put:

Watch Hill RI
East & West Chop, Martha's Vineyard MA
Long Point & Wood End Lights, Provincetown, MA
Great Point, Nantucket, MA
Pomham Rocks, East Providence RI
Cleveland Ledge, Buzzards Bay MA
Sandy Neck Light, Barnstable MA

Now the odd ball of wishes, a "Texas Tower". How about a replica of the original Buzzards Bay Tower or Brenton Reef Tower. Those guys are gone but not forgotten!

All of these are gone, but each was on the Hudson River in New York. HL has done all the standing ones and any or all of these would work toward completing a Hudson River series.

Stuyvesant
Coxsackie
Four Mile Point
West Point
Rockland Lake
Danskammer Point, and
Van Wies Point.

I agree with Rich
Where are our southern lights.

Eric picked out a nice selection of southern Lights. I agree with his list.

If the Grand Tour is a success in 2008, maybe HL will do something similar every year. This way we'll all be happy with what's released. smile

Gee whiz, Rich, I just looked at the Grand Tour Map and there's 7 or 8 lights from south of the Mason-Dixon Line. I think the southern part of our country is being covered quite well. I had mentioned in another reply that it's almost like a new set of southern belles.

I would definitely name the lights you would like to see replicated so that Harbour Lights knows which ones you care the most about. That's the ultimate purpose of the Wish List! Harbour Lights does listen to its collectors.

Bob - With approximately 116 lights from Maine to and including Delaware and approximately 70 lights from Maryland to the southern tip of Florida, me thinks you guys are in the lead. I wish that HL would at least bring out a light each 6 months from each part of the country(Northeast, Mid Atlantic, Southeast, Gulf, Great Lakes, West Coast). I'm glad your happy but we in the south are starting to feel a little slighted(my opinion). I also know that HL listens to the Forums with the USCGC TANEY as a tribute. Oh well, maybe the 2nd half of 2008.

Rich, by your logic the GL are not nearly represented enough! There are more lights on the lakes than the East, West and Gulf coasts combined. There are 116 in just Michigan...... Then we need to add in the St Lawrence Seaway, the Hudson, Lake Champlain....

I seem to remember a few years ago when we had an almost all FL release cycle that no one was complaining about the lack of southern lights!

Yea Dave, wasn't that great!!! I figured I'd liven up the Forums on the comment about enough GL and NE lighthouses. So far, not many responses. An old Chief like you knows you got to stir the pot every now and then or everything goes stale.

I love all of the lighthouses. Most I have not seen yet. I think a lighthouse from each area each year is a great idea. Something for everybody. As for my wish list. I have been wishing for Wood Island, ME since 2003 when I saw it on vacation. Not only is it one I have seen, it also has special meaning to me. It reminds me of a very dear and special friend of our family who is no longer with us. They did come out with a LLOM, I bought it as soon as it came out. If Harbour Lights does a LE of this lighthouse I will be very happy.

Five Mile Point, CT (New Haven) Dealers in our area were told more than 5 years ago that it would be done with the carousel alongside.

Point Vicente, CA. Gee, why release a lighthouse that many, many tourists have seen in the country's 2nd largest city.. BTW, as I write this, great photo just above of this lightouse with the words "collector forums" placed on the cliffs. Besides, we were promised this in a legacy years ago - apparently only 1 AP exists.

Watch Hill, RI

Mombo - We get fjords every time we get hit by a hurricane, but, I'll pass on the hurricanes and let you Great Lakers have the most shore lines.

My wish would be for the 2009 Collector society pieces to be Little Traverse Lighthouse. The bell tower could be the gift piece and the lighthouse would by the society piece. It would be great if they would be made to interlock to form one piece.

I would love to see any of those Maine Lights that Christopher listed. I would also like to see Cabrillo, Ca.
It seems like no matter which lights Harbor Lights makes we always want more.

Add Squirrel Point, Monhegan Island (with the bell and rowboat), Ram Island Ledge, Mount Desert Rock and Dyce Head to the requests for Maine lights. Some of our favorites. Maybe a Peggy's Cove GLOW because it would have a green light.
