On Memorial Day I was in Rockport, MA, with my family. I found Sanibel Island at retail in a little shop on the wharf. The owner had received two Sanibels and had sold one almost immediately. The second she had saved for a regular customer for almost 6 months - but he apparently got one elsewhere and told her he didn't want the one she had saved for him. It had just sat in her display case ever since. I guess I was just in the right place, etc.

I found many pieces by calling or emailing dealers who have web pages on the Internet. This was especially fruitful when looking for the early Society pieces (I've only been a member since '97). If you take the time to call, email +/or visit dealers and ask the right questions, you CAN pick up hard-to-find pieces. Good Luck!
