I just received mine the end of last week. Nice issue but I was a little surprised there wasn't more pics of the future releases for the first half of 2004.

I don't know when it arrived, but it was in the box of mail from the last 2 weeks that I picked up at the post office today.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the Younger & Associates new venture...the crystal ornaments and hangers. Did everyone get the brochure in with their Legacy?

Me too, Carol.

Y&A purchased JPBrown as of 1-1-04. JPBrown was based on Indianapolis and has a patent on the design of the ornament hangers. This didn't get mentioned in the new brochure.

The hanger is designed so that when an ornament is pulled on, it actually grips the tree branch harder.

It was originally designed by the Browns to protect their valuable ornaments from being pulled off the tree by pets and kids.

Some of the hangers are simple gold and silver colored wire, others are 'enhanced' with Swarovski crystals. Others have larger crystals as attached ornaments themselves.

Got mine Saturday! Excellent events calendar! wink

Marblehead, Mass. Lighthouse, you will always have a very special place in our hearts. ....We've made the journey as far south as New Jersey, as far north as Canada. Over 100 lighthouses visited.... and so many more to go.

Received mine today, also the Lighthouse Digest for April, is it? Really different cover photo this time! Haven't had a chance to look closely at either yet. Tossed the ornament hanger stuff. No one (including cats) is allowed to mess with my tree(s)! smile

Didn't see a 3 year option for Society Membership? I know the price is going up but a 3 year plan would be nice.

Lighthouse Digest came in today, Great stories in this issue and some great photos of the winners in the photo contest. Some great pictures. THere were only four pictures by names that I recognized. Three by Gary Martin and one by Rod Watson. Anyone else recognize any of the winners.

According to Shelley at HL (this morning), they are no longer offering multiple-year renewals. I renewed for 3 years in January and just made it in under the wire...

We renewed last year for 3 years. I wonder if we will get a bill for the difference in price. I certainly would hope not.

I doubt that you would, Tom - benefit of paying for 3 years at a time was that you locked in the price, while HL got all the $$ up front and didn't have to send renewal notices.

Only situation I have ever heard of where someone had the gall to do so was our daily rag (jokingly referred to as a newspaper) that used to send my mother-in-law bills for additional funds due when they jacked the price after she prepaid for a year.

I'm currently in the second of the three year renewal. But for those of you who expect to have the renewal notice eliminated -- bad news. You'll receive one anyway. At least I have. I hate to see the three year subscription eliminated, but expenses keep going North. At the same time for many of us our disposible income runs South.

I spoke to someone at the office yesterday and was told that I'm all paid up for the next two years and that I was all set. It appears that they won't be looking to get more out of us. I will miss the three year subscription as it is the only one that I have ever used with HL and thought ii well worth doing. I hate renewing for something every year.
