Dear Harbour Lights Collectors,

Thank you to everyone who participated in the last auction. It was a spectacular success.
So, this is the last auction. Bill & Nancy’s garage is looking a lot emptier and the money raised for Smile Train will bring smiles and joy to children all over the world.

We have an interesting selection of pieces on offer in this auction. I found several boxes of artist proofs. These pieces were normally sent to our showrooms around the country and were never intended to be sold.

There is an original watercolor painting of Mobile Point by Mark Sherman. Mark has been the official watercolor artist of Harbour Lights for many years. He is a remarkably talented artist and has won several awards for is works over the years. This is an exceptional opportunity, as Mark’s Harbour Lights paintings rarely come up for sale.

In 1995, Bill worked with a group of artists to develop a collection of sculptures representing historically important people in the lighthouse world. The first four sculptures were of Augustan Fresnel, Ida Lewis, Winslow Lewis and Rebecca & Abigail Bates. We had a set of three samples made and Bill took them around to our showrooms around the country. The feedback led Bill to think that the time was not right to release this collection and so these pieces were put back on the top shelf. This mini collection will be sold as a set.

There will also be three Gold plated pewter pieces.

About three years ago, Harbour Lights was approached to make a small replica of a tug boat for the Moran Company. They wanted an ornament sized piece to give to customers. We produced 300 pieces for them. This little sculpture was never marketed to our Harbour Lights retailers. For auction is the only sample I have.

The pieces will be posted on eBay on Sunday, April 28th using Jackie’s auction page. Her eBay handle is "Triplegemini". To find the auctions you can type "Bill Younger’s Harbour Lights" in the eBay search bar.

Another fantastic line up, and it appears that they found a few more lights that are not on the list above. A couple weeks back it sounded like the last group wouldn't be as interesting as the first four, but that's not the case after all.

What a GREAT thing that Bill, Nancy, Harry and all the collectors who have purchased Bill's Harbour Lights Collection have done for "Smile Train". The result was more than I could have imagined!!!

Well, thanks to this auction I have bought more LEs. I scored a # 1 in this auction and it started me on picking up more pieces. And I recently received a thank you from Bill and Nancy for the piece I scored. They have always been a class act, and that just adds to the list of why I believe that they are wonderful people. :)

A very nice note, exactly what you would expect from Bill. Thanks for posting a copy, Paul.
