Dave mentioned that I might want to list the coins given out at the reunions. So here goes! Does anyone have a list of the coins and what images appear on each side of the coin. Were there 3 coins for each reunion (gold, siver and Bronze)? Were there any coins given out at the regionals, and if so, can you provide me the information? Time is getting short so please don't procrastinate if you have any info. And you can just provide me bits and pieces if you don't have them all. I will include any information I get in the Product list.
There were coins given out at the Mac reunion, just not to everyone. If memory serves me correctly special coins were given to those Mac reunion attendees that had been to every reunion. Not having attended all the reunions I did not receive one, so I don't know what the coins looked like. DaveH can you fill in the blank on this one?
Melody - I got that information from Dave and apprciate your help. Besides those 3 coins I know there was a coin from the Statue of Liberty and Eddystone Lighthouses. Does anyone know of any others? Please let me know!
Rich, after thinking about it, I think there was somthing for people who attended both reunions at the second reunion and something for the people who had attended all three at the third reunion, not sure what at which one but a clock is vaguely coming to mind.... John or Paul anything coming to mind ??
Rich, I do have the Statue of Liberty coin...the front of it has Liberty Enlightening the world 1886 w/statue in between then 1902 on the other side with the year 2000 under the statue...the other side has Harbour Lights Celebrates the turn of the century...this goes around the coin in the middle it shows the hand of the Statue of Liberty with the flame...I also have the Eddystone...
Daniel is right about the Georgia coin it has Atlanta 2000 with the peach in the middle and Keep the flame underneath...however on the other side of that coin it has Rosemont 2000 a rose in the middle and underneath it has Harbour Lights
on the front it has Eddystone Lighthouse with the figure of it in the middle and underneath it has England...on the other side it has Ten Years of Light and underneath that is Harbour Lights in the middle it has two ships with the years 1991-2001 Hope this is what you need...I think this coin and the Statue of Liberty came with the lighthouse...not given out at a reunion...
Several days ago I sent Rich scans of the SoL coin and one I used at Mackinac.
There were 3 coins used at Mackinac. All attendees received a bronze coin. Those who had volunteered to help me or Patty with different things during the reunion received a silver version to recognize the volunteering. Those present at Mackinac that had attended the 3 previous reunions were personally presented a gold coin from either me or Patty.
At Baltimore people who had been to all 3 reunions received a clock from HL.
Ruthie - I've got the information on the Liberty and Eddystone coin from Dave (Liberty) and myself (Eddystone) already. Could you tell me about the Atlanta Regional 2000 coin? Is it a bronze coin and what is the size of it? I need that info for the list I'm putting together.
Does anyone have the information on the other reunion (if there were any) coins?
Rich, Here is a picture I took after the Baltimore reunion of the swag. I see some coasters, I see a key ring, I see a patch, I see some dog tags, The thumbnails A Button The patch is leaning on a cast and painted lighthouse pin back The little custom painted ornament (my handy work) A few books A Mark Sherman print My connect collector badge (not a HL issue) They gave out a photo album to each person, has no special HL markings And looks like a calendar in the back too
Mark - I want to add the bags and clock but need to know APPROXIMATE size of the bags (length) and clock (diameter). Also is the clock a pendulum type or just a wall clock and what is the lighthouse image on the clock?
Rich The clock was given out at the 2001 Baltamore reunion to those that attented all three of the reunions. The clock is 8 1/2" diameter with a battery pack mechanism with no pendulum. The lighthouse is Hooper Strait. and I have one hanging in my den.
Rich there other clocks. In the official collectors guide there are four other clocks listed. St Augustine with Pendulum, Hatteras with Pendulum, Alcatraz with Pendulum and a pendulum hooper strait. And I thought there was a St Thomas clock.
Also the Atlanta & Rosemont coin 2000 was given out at the Collectors trade shows not regional because I got the coins and I went to the Atlanta trade show and not the Atlanta regional in 2000
Thanks Daniel. I have decided to not list at this time the "FREEBEES" given out at the Reunions. I will wait for the updated revised edition that I will work on after this list goes out and I get additions and correction to this list. I'm going to ask for a detailed list of the "FREEBEES" from each Reunion and list these under a separate topic. I also have the other clocks listed because they were items for normal sale. This clock was a special for the reunion and will be added in at the update under "Reunion Goodies and Freebees".
The luggage tags are 4 1/4" x 2 1/4" I only have blue tags for 1997 But I have blue and red tags for 1998 and I don't have any for Baltimore, so I don't think they made any for Baltimore
Mark - I'm saving all this information for my next revision of thwe Product List. I want to have a separate section dedicated to the "Freebees" that were given out at the Reunions. I don't have enough input yet to make it worth the effort, but, with your input and input from others I will have enough in several months.
