Just read this on Lighthouse Digest:
BREAKING NEWS: Old Orchard Shoal Light Lost in Super Storm
DESTROYED. Old Orchard Shoal Lighthouse in the waters off Staten Island, New York was destroyed by Super Storm Sandy on October 29, 2012.
