I believe there are a total of 135 variations/countries of manufacturer in the first 38 lighthouses produced. Please look them over and if I have missed any please inform me. Great list, Rich. You may find some info you don't have in the "Greenbook" Guide to Harbour Lights. Some of their 'last known' numbers may be different. You have some interesting things listed. Thanks for that.

The admiralpy) is a Malaysian with no lightning rod. There are only two known and mine is number 2123

Daniel - I changed the serial number range for the "alpy" spelling range to 2148 (pictured in Collector's Guide) and also indicated "rod/no rod?" because the range of serial numbers indicates it should have a rod even though yours doesn't. I wonder if the owner of S/N 2148 would respond to the question of it having a rod or no rod.

Angels Gate - the "last known number" in the Greenbook guide was compiled during 1997 and since that time many additional numbers have been verified by both the Forum members in quite a few postings on each individual lighthouse (no longer available for viewing at this time) and by several forum members viewing these lighthouses on Ebay. I'm sure that many of these numbers may be incorrect but they are certainly more correct than the Greenbook listed 15 years ago.

If anyone has any of the first 38 lighthouses and can verify that there is a higher number known, please let me know and I will make the change.

2123 to 2156 are Malaysian and have no rod and are correctly spelled or in two cases have a “P” where the”T” should be. I have personally logged five admiralty heads in this number range. Following the numbering sequence these should be miss-spelled Canadian made, but they are not.

No mention of the water color change in HL123 Michigan City ?

Also no mention of the HL 114 Great Captin Island, Ct. date over the door variation (1863 date)(1868 date)

Also, I have a Canadian - HL 103 West Quoddy, Me # 2295 W/rod

And, HL136 Hilton Head (Sea Pines) Canadian #676

Mark - Thanks for your input. I completely forgot to enter the Michigan City water colors and the dates above the door on Great Captain Island. I have corrected the lists and have also added your serial numbers to the last known number in my list.

By the time I get people's inputs this list should be fairly accurate.

"More correct", Rich? I always thought a thing was either correct or not. And if all you are shooting for is "fairly accurate" there is no point in being nasty with anyone who dares a suggestion! Even though it isn't current, the Green Book does have some good information in it (for those of us who DON'T already know it all).

Rich you got the Split rock variation backwards.
MI starts with the number 11 and stops somewhere around 150.
Then HL caught the mistake and started fixing them by adding a backslash to the I to try and make it look like a “N”. Well they do not look like a “N” but an upside down “v”
I have a #308 upside down “V”

Angel Gate - I got most of my information from the Greenbook, Collector's Guide, Jim Rutherford's 5 books and The Collector's Value Guide along with Forum member's input and Ebay along with the serial numbers from my collection. I also got quite a bit of this information from Daniel. He and I talk on a weekly basis about Harbour Lights and I value his knowledge on the subject. I reread my response to your earlier post I feel that I was in no way being nasty and I'm sorry you took it that way. My appologies to you. I made this list to help others that haven't been collecting as long as many of us have. I welcome corrections and additions and will try and make this list as "ACCURATE and CORRECT" as possible (potatoe vs potatoe) so to speak.

I haven't heard from too many members on this list, but, what I have heard is all GOOD information. Are there any other additions, corrections or changes I should add to this list?
