One of our long time CF members, Margret Herber and her husband Stan from England are visiting family in the San Diego area.

We're arranging for a gathering of Harbour Lights Collectors for lunch on Saturday, April 28th in San Diego. Bill & Nancy Younger will be joining us for lunch. I'm waiting to hear back from Harry Hine as to his availability.

The luncheon will be in San Diego - Dutch Treat.

We'll also be doing some lighthouse visitations on Friday afternoon and perhaps on Saturday before and/or after lunch.

If you can make it, you are welcome to join us. Please post on this thread and email me so I can get a headcount. webmaster@lighthousekeepers.com

If you're in the Phoenix area and want to car pool to San Diego, let me know.

Crud...not enough notice for me to get off work. Oh well, not every opportunity comes around like you might want it.

Everyone who goes, ENJOY! Tell Bill & Nancy - "Melody says Hey!"

Wow, what a great gathering that will be. Little bit for for us to make it, besides it is our work day at Michigan City. (Send us some San Diego sunshine - the weather forecast for MC gets crummier by the day.)

Hope you all have a great day. Please share some pictures here.

Photos are on this Facebook album.

I actually had no conversations with Bill about the demise of Harbour Lights. He was a great gentleman. Both he and Nancy looked great and both said they were in great health and enjoying retirement. He did discuss an idea and asked for the reactions of those collectors who were there. I'll post it in a new thread.

How about posting the pictures on the Forums for those of us that don't use Facebook?

You don't need to be on Facebook to view the album of photos. Just click on the link.

I get this FB page trying to view the pictures of the event.

It would be nice to see them, but it is okay with me if the pics aren't posted here. My feelings about FB shouldn't create extra work and additional postings for the people who went to see the Youngers.

Ruthie sent me these 2 images. Not sure who took them. She noted that the gold painted Thomas Point was a gift from John, but that he asked Bill to make the presentation to Margret.

We had a great day at Old Point Loma and at Tom Ham's Lighthouse Restaurant on Harbor Island.
