Here's wishing you all a Happy and prosperous New Year. The Bodings are not too good weather wise as we are suffering the worst winter weather here in Scotland for a good many years. I was hoping to have a book launch in the middle of the month but it looks very much like it will be the middle of next month. Still they say every cloud has a silver lining or is just at the moment every cloud seems to be full of snow.
I must get back to writing some more lighthouse poems to complete the collection, so I now have the excuse not to out and about doing anything else.

Thanks Bob and LL, I was hoping to do a book launch towards the end of the month but the snow and the state of the roads will mean it will have to be postponed for a while. What's the weather like Stateside?

Lousy winter here in Massachusetts. Better than average snowfall so far with cold temps here. No global warming to be found in my neck of the woods.

Very cold here in central New Jersey. We've already had three snow storms in the last three weeks, which is more then we usually have in one year. Looking forward to Spring!

Very cold here in Kansas City, too, plus lots of snow. Schools have been out for the whole week here. Even the deer are wearing winter coats... ha ha

Spring will be a welcome relief. cool Good luck with your book release, Peter.

Well it looks like most of the northern hemisphere has snow. I better not speak too soon but we're having a bit of a thaw here and the temperatures have been above freezing for two days. All I can say is roll on Burns night although I can't stand haggis and its still too cold for any 'wee sleekit coorin timorous beasties' by the way for all you Rabbie Burns fans out there I live about 8 miles from Alloway Burns' birthplace and the Old Brig is still standing. Believe it or not the river Doon flows within 50 yards of my front door. Just to clarify things Brig O'Doon and Brigadoon are not the same thing just someones idea of poetic license.
