You are invited to attend a Public Information Meeting, to be held on Thursday June 9, 2005 from 5:00 p.m. to approximately 8:00 p.m. in the lower level public meeting room of the Lake Park Pavilion. The informational meeting will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to learn of the planning and design work done to date by the County and its partners and the proposed timeline for rehabilitation of this facility.

Planning and design for the rehabilitation of the North Point Lighthouse and Keepers Quarters has been underway for several months. The primary objectives of this work have been to develop a strategy and plans for the rehabilitation and preservation of this facility as an historic monument and public amenity as part of historic Lake Park. This Public Information Meeting will be an opportunity to update the stakeholders on the status of the project and to provide continuing public input. A brief presentation of the project will be made and representatives of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin Department of Transportation and North Point Lighthouse Friends will be on hand to discuss the project and to answer questions.

The schedule for the evening will be as follows:
· 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Open House with Displayed Graphics

· 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Presentation of plans, drawings and operation plan

· 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Questions and Answers

· 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Open House with informal discussions

Great to hear that they are moving forward in working on the North Point Light. It is in such a pretty setting. Will be nice to see it cleaned up.
