Very nice, Ned. The two times I was past the park the weekend I had in Oregon the fog was bad enough that you couldn't see much of anything.
How long a lens were you using? Water looks fairly calm, sky has pleasing coloring. Thanks for sharing.

Very cool photo, Ned. Really shows how high a perch "Terrible Tilly" is on. You can see why they need a lighthouse. It really is a very lonely looking outpost...

Nice picture Ned I have been to Oregon coast many times and I have never been able to see Tillamook that clear. The only clear pictures I've seen is by Nana & Jakers who few over Tillamook to get them.

Ned, you're wetting my appetite for more! Four more weeks! This is one of my planned stops and will probably be a mid-late afternoon. How good is the view from Cannon Beach? Is it better from the state park further up the road? I plan to stop in Cannon Beach anyhow for some general landscape shots.
Does anyone know how much it cost to take the plane ride over Tillamook?

Jen, this is from Indian Beach, a little farther north of Ecola State Park. Take the road to Ecola Park on the north side of Cannon Beach, and Indian Beach is about 1.5 miles further. There is also a trail between the two. My closest shots were taken with a 400mm equivalent, so they represent how much detail is possible. Good luck on your trip!

What a beautiful picture! Thanks for sharing it. Is that rock that the lighthouse sits on as small as it looks or is it bigger in person? I don't think that I would like to live there - that first step could be a real doozy.
