I put together a calendar July 2003 - January 2005) of some of my lighthouse photography using Adobe Photoshop Album.

It is available to download as an Adobe Acrobat file. However, if you have a slow connection, you won't want to do this -- the file is almost 6 MB.

I'm making this available for my friends' personal use, not for publication except as a single copy on your own printer.

Enjoy.

I'm not sure why this page link is not working -- perhaps because the file is too large. But any help will be appreciated. Sorry for the delay in the meantime.

John,

I had no trouble with it. I have a cable modem at home.

I'm printing out my copy to keep by the computer right now.

Thanks. I've been to a good number of the Lighthouses you used for the pictures.

I found an error on one page showing Assateague. It should have identified the state as VA.

I've updated it to correct it.

John,

Wouldn't you know it would be the simple part that gets screwed up- you managed to spell the hard words correctly and put in the wrong state. laugh

The pictures are still great, though.

Now the really trick part. For those that know how well John and calendars get along, are the months correct? For instance, is July 4th, 2003 on a Friday? Did you include chat dates and times for everyone, John?

Looking forward to seeing a copy.

"Looking forward to seeing a copy."

Right Dave, Aren't you the same guy who won't wait more that 2.5 seconds for a picture to load before moving on to the next thread? If there was a picture included in this thread you would never get my message.

Just to see.....
I came in the house yesterday and found this in my old recliner, It was time to turn on the AC for the first time this year.

I took a couple of printed copies to Kinko's to bind for myself and my parents.

I used the white coil binding, added a white vinyl 'cover' to the back and a clear acetate to the front.

The cost is about $5 per binding for the materials and labor.

This calendar starts with July 2003 and goes through January 2005.

No dates are highlighted or marked, Dave. It better be right. As I used the Adobe program which created and added the dates to my photos.

Anybody else having problems with the file? I only get the dreaded red x icon after a second or two.

Are you using the most up to date reader? a few people at work could not open PDF's recently, until they upgraded to the newest Adobe reader.

I actualy hadn't tried opening it until now, It would not open with AOL 8.0 or the newest Netscape browser 7.0 but it opened right up with Netscape 4.7 (possibly the best browser ever built) which is why I still use it regulary.

I'm using IE 6.0 and have auto update on my Adobe Reader and I had no problem.

I printed out my copy earlier today. I just reconnected and had no problem getting it to open.

Thanks John! Really nice! And as soon as I saw Hooper Strait...had to print it out smile

I might be new here, but I hope you will consider me a friend.

Since I'm on a cable modem, it didn't take very long, and I like the idea of taking it to Kinkos for binding.

I'm on AOL 8.0 with the old-fashioned dial-up mode. It opened up without a problem.

It was like taking a walk down "memory lane".

Nice job, John. smile

Turns out my problem WAS with Acrobat. I have the full version (write and read) and when I installed Adobe Photoshop Album, the CD attempted to write the reader version -- which I cancelled because I have the full version.

But that process destroyed the READ version of Acrobat so I had to reinstall the program which solved the problem.

I specified I only wanted to install the Album software and NOT the reader -- and I think software companies ought to be fined and required to pay the user when it attempts to install other software on your computer. MS does this a lot -- trying to install IE when you install some other program.

John, any chance you could burn a copy on CD?. I've tried downloading this 3 times on three different days, all with the same result: total computer lockup. Don't know why, everything else works completely fine.

I can download the calendar OK but I have a large black rectangle around the picture which obscures some of the dates. Any thoughts?

Ed - what version of Acrobat or Acrobat Reader do you have?

George - sorry, no. Do you still have FTP access? I might be able to load it there for you.
