This is from the lookout nest of Point Allerton, I think that is Graves Light in the background. Minot's Ledge Light, one of my favorites, hopefully I will get a closer look someday.... And, Stage Harbor, without the lantern room , would love to see this restored

Jim,
Nice shots, especially the Stage Harbor Lighthouse
I've only seen this from across the way at the end of a street that turns into a boat ramp.

Always nice to see these lights again Jim, thanks. And yes that is Graves. Reminds me of the day my daughter and I drove out to Hull to see these lights in 3/99. Just tonight I caught a PBS program on the Boston Harbor Islands. Three folks were exploring the area in kayaks and camped overnight on one of the islands.

Jim, Great pictures of the New England Lights. Enjoyed them all and they're practically in our back yard up here. I've been to Hull but haven't seen Ptl Allerton LS Station yet. Been all around it I'm sure, but I must have been looking out to the ocean and missed it. I can still remember coming over that hill and seeing Boston LIght from there. Quite a thrill! I'll be back there again. Still lots to see even if I remain in New England. Bert

I like the Headless lighthouse shot the most. I see great potential with that top shot though. I realize that there is probably a reason it wasn't done, but I am thinking a telephoto lens to bring those lighthouses closer, then lining those things up so one is almost behind the other. Wait for sunset/sunrise and watch the magic begin. A photo like that would be Amazing! Nice job on all of your recent photos, a couple more of these and I will be planning a trip east. JB

Thanks again for sharing, Jim. No pic of Point Allerton? Stage Harbor would be really nice with a lantern room on top of that poor old tower - it looks so, well, headless....
JB, to line up Boston and Graves I believe you would have to be in a boat (relying on failing memory here....)

I wondered (water/boat) if that was the reason. It can be tough to give suggestions when you can't see the entire scene. Still enjoyed the photos. JB

Point Allerton is worth seeing, it is difficult to photograph because there is not much room on the street and electrical wires cut across the building. I will post the one good picture that I took here shortly.
