Lorie, Dave will probably let you list any number per day you want - if you post those pictures he's so anxious to see. Avery Point

Lorie "Hockey Girl" Roe already posted Stonington earlier today. Sorry, was in Part V, I should probably make a list of what was in the part (tommorow if I remember...have to get a bit more HW done and go to bed). You're more than welcome to enter another light today, though!

Dan - Sandy posted Stratford already on Monday. You're more than welcome to try another light today, though. How about... Lynde Point? I saw this one a few weeks after Katharine Hepburn died, and when we called my mom on the way home (last light), she asked, "Did you see Katherine Hepburn's house?" We said we didn't think so. However, I looked in the biography of Katharine when we got home, and at the beginning, when the author is going to visit her for the first time, the directions led to the same development we were in! I think I saw the famous "Please Go Away" sign in the driveway. This is my lighthouse/celebrity story.

We'll get there Zachary! My daughter and I also saw that sign Greg, but that was before I was into lighthouses. I had just read her autobiography, "Me" which was new at the time. Miss Hepburn painted that sign herself. We did see Art Carney's place also which was on the way to Lynde Point. A woman in Saybrook told us which one it was. We probably saw the lighthouse too but at that time I wouldn't have paid attention. I.O. and I had to go back in 2001 to see it! How about the lighthouse at Mystic Seaport? That was the very first one I took a photo of!

Mombo has asked me to close this thread prematurely, as a) she has been having problems with it, b) CT is basically done, and c) We're going to take a Christmas break. Have a Happy Christmas (that's how they say it in Britain!), and this game will return on Boxing Day, Dec. 26 (that's a British holiday!). I will, however, be on way to the OBX that day, so Mombo, I'm putting you in charge of starting a Part VII, with the new state of your choice. Have a Happy Chrstmas and a Wonderful Boxing Day!

Well it seems that the Texas folk are taking a holiday break from the forums so we'll skip Texas and come back to it later.
How about Massachusetts? I'm sure we'll have a few takers for that state!

Highland Light, subject of my best lighthouse photograph I have taken to date. Ooh, this'll be fun, I've seen most everything in MA except for the Vineyard and Nantucket.

Fort Pickering...the favourite light of our MA trip. Lightwise, it's not the biggest or the brightest or the most famous, but something about that little tower just hit me...

Thacher Island Lights are called the North Tower and the South Tower I believe.
Lorie, for this purpose I've decided not to count lightships. Maybe someone else wants to start a count of those???
I'll go with the Gloucester Breakwater Light. Think it also goes by Dogbar or some such name.

Sue,
Thacher Island North & South Lights is correct, as is Cape Ann Light Station, Twin Lights, and Ann's Eyes.
Dog Bar Breakwater is another name for Gloucester Harbor Light which, by the way, isn't listed on any of the MA Lighthouses Lists I've seen. So, thanks for listing that one.
