You can now order a limited edition print of Bruce Roberts photograph of Bodie Island Lighthouse in the snow.

Only 100 11x14" prints (printed on 13x19" photographic paper) will be available. Each print will be signed and numbered by Bruce. Numbers will be assigned in the order received.

If you plan on attending one of the four Harbour Lights regionals this year, you can order your print and arrange to pick it up there. Or you can have it mailed to you for an additional $2.50.

In either case, your print will include a heavy cardboard photograph mailer to protect it until you get it home.

Approximately $45 of the purchase price will go to benefit the restoration and maintenance of Bodie Island Lighthouse.



You can order your print through a secure form online and pay either using PayPal or by sending a check to Paul Brady who has volunteered to handle the orders and make the prints.

I ran into a small problem- no way to add the $2.50 shipping costs.

I improvised and went into Paypal directly and made a second payment covering the shipping.

I'm not sure if I did something wrong or if the problem lies elsewhere.

Just wanted to bring it to your attention. I notified Paul in my note accompanying the second payment.

I ordered my print but couldn't figure out how to send the shipping charges. Paul if you want to hold my print until the work day in May that will be fine with me.

Paul -- how are sales going so far?

It was great right at first but none lately... a total of 10 prints, actually 11 since I am buying #14 when we get to that number, have been spoken for so far..

Perhaps some folks (like me) just can't afford to spend the extra $50 for Bodie. If you order a couple badges that's $12. And a couple wacko pins is $30. So if you then order a print that's $92 spent on the one lighthouse. Now it's a gorgeous picture and I'd love to have one but I'll have to pass.

I can't wait to check the mail in the next couple of days. Hopefully, our print of Bodie will be arriving soon. It is a spectacular shot and we are very pleased to be helping to raise the much needed funds for this lighthouse.

So far a dozen sold. We need to get the word out. Those 12 of you, please make it a mission to show lots of other lighthouse 'nuts' your picture and urge them to help. About $40 of the $50 purchase price will go to help Bodie.

The remaining $10 covers Paul's expenses for inks, paper, mailers and postage. He has volunteered his time and use of his large format color ink jet printer.

Clubs - how about ordering a print to auction or give away at your next meeting using a raffle ticket?

Our Bruce Roberts print of Bodie arrived today and it is gorgeous.......worth every penny and more. We plan to have it framed by a local studio and hang it with pride in our home. Thanks again for making this available.

Our print arrived Friday. It survived the Post Office with flying colors. Looking forward to getting it framed and hung in our house.

My picture was waiting for me when I got back from my trip. WONDERFUL!

We have sold 19 so far and I have a couple of those to deliver at the upcoming Regional..

At the rate that they have been selling we may just limit it to this first printing of a total of 55 prints.. That will make it more limited and keep my costs down thus making more percentage wise for the Bodie lighthouse.

We are coming up on one year since we first offered the prints to raise money for bodie restoration.. I only printed 55 in the first run and sent them to Bruce Robert's to sign and number, since we haven't sold all 55 yet, that is all there will be printed... I will count up and post the total number sold on March 11, 2004..

Since the 55 haven't sold out I have decided to both donate my time and materials to the project and not take my costs out of the money sitting in the bank, which means 100% of the money collected will go to the Bodie lighthouse.. On March 11, I will send Cheryl Roberts a check for the Outer Banks Society to use on their Bodie Project. The remaining prints at that time will go to Cheryl and a couple of other Societies to use to raise money for their projects. Plus I will keep a couple for the Hoosier lighthousing Club to use in future opportunity drawings..

I have taken three prints for myself for donating the costs of the materials, which included paper, ink, large mailing folders and cardboard. I figured that way the lighthouse will get more of the funds..

Only the 55 signed by Bruce will be made!!

I just made the purchase... Hopefully, I am not too late. It's odd because I made a mental note to buy a print months ago and I clearly forgot!!! I love Bodie and can't wait to get the print!!!

Folks, if you hesitated last spring, please reconsider purchasing one of the remaining limited signed and numbered prints of Bodie Island in the Snow by award winning photojournalist Bruce Roberts. Paul has said that the cut off date is March 11.



God willing, and the creek don't rise, funds are going to be needed for Bodie not only to restore the tower, but to restore the beautiful First Order Fresnel Lens. This is one of the few lighthouses in America that still has it's original First Order in the lantern room.

Only 55 prints were made available. Paul has elected to keep 3 as his payment to recover his costs.
